I had to go to the Vineyard for an early evening event and needed a place to stay for one night, and this was just perfect. Sue, the proprietor, was very helpful. She sold us the Ferry tickets for Martha's Vineyard and told us how to walk down to the ferry dock. The room was comfortable, the bathroom was modern... More

About a 15 minute level walk to the center of town and even closer to the ferry terminal. The air-conditioned room was perfectly adequate and had the usual amenities. We did not use the pool although it looked tempting. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Classic motel from the 60's. Great location for walking to ferry, Nobska beach, Woods Hole. Great customer service, mailed me my extra key set that I left behind. Will stay again. Proximity to everything you could want is paramount and you can walk to everything, that's a big deal in WH where parking is almost non-existent during the work day.

Very close to the ferry and clean, tidy, well run place. As others have said it is an older style motel but it is so well kept and with such accommodating staff that it feels very welcoming. Only suggestion would be to get rid of the old carpets as in the humidity they feel damp and sticky. This was our... More

We stayed here the night before going over to Martha's Vineyard for the day and couldn't really ask for more. After buying the ferry tickets at reception, it was an easy 10 minute stroll straight on to the boat. The room itself was large and clean, there was a pool which looked pretty good but we didn't have the time... More

Nice family owned motel right in Woods Hole. The rooms are equipped w/ fridge, cable, etc, and are squeaky clean. The motel is certainly not new but the owners do a great job keeping it clean. It is only 1/3 of a mile to the MV Ferry and the various attractions of Woods Hole. The village of Woods Hole is... More

This sweet motel is two blocks from Woods Hole, so walking is a pleasure. The motel rooms are immaculate, and the beds are very comfortable. Management is friendly and accommodating. We had a lovely night's experience here and highly recommend this wonderful, family-owned motel.

From the outside, it's a retro motel with rooms flanking a pool. Each room is comfortable and clean. The hosts are friendly and welcomed us before the season had actually begun. Less than 1/2 mile to the harbor, an easy walk takes you to good restaurants and the ferry. I'd be happy to stay again.

We have stayed here about four times when we have had an early morning ferry to catch the next day. It is clean, dependable, generally quiet and most of all convenient. When we arrive it's after an 11 hour car trip, we check in, walk to town for our first lobster dinner of the trip, go back to the room,... More

We appreciate your comments and your repeat business. We wish your ratings were higher, others have been, but this is an honest review. We are an older motel but we work very hard to provide first rate service and cleanliness. Please let us know if you notice any specific problems when you stay with us. More

I stayed here for a good friends wedding this past September and have no real complaints. This is a quintessential no frills motor lodge. You know what to expect the second you look at pictures of the place. The rooms are small and basic but comfortable enough. The Sleepy Hollow is just a few minutes walk or extremely short drive... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Sleepy Hollow is a classic motor inn providing affordable accommodations in historic Woods Hole Village. Innkeeper/owner Sandee Parmelee spent years working at first class B&Bs before acquiring the Sleepy Hollow. Her experience is reflected in the effort that goes into providing clean, well-maintained rooms. The ferry to Martha's Vineyard, beaches, aquarium, museums, restaurants, and other attractions are within easy walking distance. We're also a great starting point for trips to other Cape Cod destinations. ... more   less
