Great hotel, but currently closed. Bought by owners of XV Beacon, possibly the best rated hotel in Boston. It will reopen as a boutique hotel. Important feature is its proximity to Logan Airport. Since I had given Suburban a favorable review, I want to make sure that travelers are aware that it is not an option at this time...April 2015.

Pros: -Price -Clean (not spotless clean but clean) -Safe (neighborhood community) -Friendly and helpful staff -Wifi works nicely -Cute, quiet community Cons: -Funny, little things missing: extra pillows, lotion, hair conditioner -Broken blinds & curtains -Cheap mattress -Wobbly table -Not close to much of anything except a little convenience store

I was happy to find a place in Boston to sleep as all flight have been cancelled. This Hotel was quiet, the rooms very big but old fashion style. No breakfast in the morning but a kitchen in the room. For families who would like to visit Boston a good choice. But not so much for a business trip. I... More

Our 5 night stay during a cold snap in January 2015 was made cozy and warm by the clean, spacious, comfortable apartment style 3rd floor room. There was no need too pack a kitchen sink because the room came with one! Plus a good sized refrigerator, 2 burner stovetop, a microwave and an assortment of kitchenware(mugs, plates, cutlery, etc). Handy... More

My family and I were headed to disneyland for spring break and had an early morning flight out of Logan and decided to stay here. Hotel was clean and met our needs for the night. Kitchen stocked with dishes and utensils was an added plus. Room was a little warm so we had difficulty falling asleep. Would stay again. Tip... More

We (My Wife ) stayed at the Winthrop Extended stay hotel when I had my knee replaced at MGH. The staff was friendly and as helpful as any 5 star we have stayed in in either the U.S or EUROPE. Let me start with clean ,convenient to the hospital and airport reasonably priced and quiet.

We wanted a hotel near the subway station, close to Boston and the airport...it was convenient...but the wood floors are noisy when someone is upstairs walking...the blinds are pretty poor and the curtains don't close completely. When the wind blew our room was very noisy..It is a clean place and reasonable priced....it would be nice if they added some shelves... More

We were finishing our trip to the Boston area and wanted a reasonable priced hotel near the airport and booked here. We were surprised to find a newly renovated hotel in an old building in Winthrop. It is located about four blocks from the beach in a fantastic neighborhood, primarily Italian. After a great walk along the beach, and speaking... More

This hotel is supposed to cater guests who are travelling ,as it is " near " ( good 6 miles drive ) to d airport . So they must provide a lugggage cart in d lobby for added convenience . The room though quite small was clean and the kitchen had everything in it. What really made this hotel worst... More
