We came in from Florida to visit my stepson and of the two hotels on Winthrop this one wins hands down. The rooms are small, but clean and comfy. It's an older hotel and the restaurant is really good! The staff, particularly "the doctor" made us feel at home and as if we were old friends. Not very many amenities... More

We booked the Arms 2 BR suite while attending a funeral. The Arms is immaculate and David and Eddie were the perfect hosts. A few of us stayed late in the lobby and were encouraged to relax and stay as long as we liked. We were so appreciative The Arms restaurant is well known for it's chicken pie and the... More

We just returned from a 2- day stay at Winthrop Arms. This was by far the best inn we have ever stayed in. It was immaculate and peaceful. The public restaurant on the first floor was superb. The service staff was extremely efficient and friendly. We ate one lunch, 2 dinners, and one breakfast during our stay. The restaurant is... More

My hubby and I had a wonderful overnight stay here. We were greeted by Dave, the owner, who was as friendly as he was accommodating! Both our lunch and dinners were scrumptious. My hubby said the chowdah was the best he's had! Lois our waitress was wonderful also. Our room had a view of the Atlantic along with lighthouses and... More

This is the epitome of a New England Bed and Breakfast feel. The staff is very accommodating and will be there if you need assistance but also respects your privacy. The owners make sure to be available for you if you need anything and even provide their personal numbers to reach them if you need anything. Pretty Fantastic service!

This place has great rooms, location, views and personality. I try to stay there whenever I am in the Boston area. The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bar and lobby area remind me of an old English Inn.

This was our second trip to Winthrop, and both times stayed at the Winthrop Arms. Dave met us as we walked in, and he is very friendly. The whole staff was friendly. We had one of the front rooms, and we could not find anything wrong with the room. It had some nice charm to it, and the bed was... More

We have stayed at the Winthrop Arms many many times in the last 6 years since we discovered it, and will certainly stay there many more times. For the room, view, welcoming staff and proximity to a beautiful walk on the coast, this place cannot be beat for value. The room would easily be MUCH higher priced in downtown Boston.... More

Winthrop Arms Hotel has always been a great place to stay. Please make sure you read about it's history. This was my second stay with some blips but nothing that wasn't readily fixed by Dave, the Hotel headmaster! A wonderful man who keeps an eye on everything. The best part of the stay? The room had a beautiful view of... More
