Great ambiance! Great location! Best Sunday brunch in the area, hands down. Awesome service! Owner is always around and extremely helpful. They will go out of their way to serve you. We come here whenever we can and enjoy the area.

A delightful place with an abundance of a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Dave and his staff are always ready to meet your every need from valet parking to fresh coffee and melt-in-your-mouth blueberry muffins. No need to go out to take a chance of finding a good dinner, when we arrived on a Saturday night the place was hopping with... More

Charming hotel. We go there before and after flights to and from Logan airport. Great food, old-fashioned warm hospitality. Seafood is a dining specialty. Rooms of distinctive character. Seaside ambience.

I was very happy with my stay at the Winthrop Arms Hotel. The Hotel is a historic property located in a residential neighborhood. The parking is on street. The hotel is located a short drive from the subway station making it very easy to get downtown Boston. I stayed in a 3rd floor room with an ocean view. The view... More

I flew into Boston on a Sunday night after a fun week in the Azores, Portugal. However, the bed in Portugal was horrible. A tiny twin with a rock hard mattress. I checked into the Winthrop Arms tired and hungry. I went down to the restaurant and had a big bowl of Clam Chowder. It absolutely was the best I... More

Had a very nice stay at the Arms. The owner is warm and friendly and my room was so large! (#215) No view, but very clean. I would stay there again. This hotel is a landmark in Winthrop. It is very quaint!

I arrived late from a delayed flight and the staff were very welcoming, even if it was 2:20am. Good family hotel and very warm and welcoming. It feels like you are in the real America, not a corporate hotel and the staff chatted and were quite friendly. The Brunch restaurant opens at 11 and I had a great omelette with... More

My husband and I stayed at the Winthrop for 2 nights. We were immediately smitten with the gorgeous bar in all of its mahoghany glory. We accompanied a couple and one of the two were former classmates of the owner. If you tried you couldnt distinguish who went to school with whom meaning we were all treated as if we... More

A charming hotel with a magnificent view of the sunrise over the Atlantic (at least from those rooms facing East, of course); friendly staff, gregarious owner - who goes out of his way to accommodate his guests. And his guests turn into friends before the end of your stay! This was THE venue for a recent 50th high school reunion... More
