We stayed overnight at this hotel on a tour of New England. We were told it was a quaint inn and it probably lived up to those expectations. Room was a reasonable size with 2 double beds. Bathroom ok. The evening meal was ok, but the service very slow. They didn't seem to have enough staff for the big coach... More

Good hotel in a college town, close to all amenities. However, something of a “Fawlty Towers” though; … Room OK except for dirty bath, no iron and no fridge. On arrival, we were issued with vouchers for continental breakfast, which, when we presented them the next morning were greeted with incomprehension by the waiting staff, who went away, consulted the... The Front Desk Staff was great, the room exceptionally clean and generally Ok. From there it goes downhill; the breakfast buffet costs approx $26.00 for two. The eggs were lukewarm, the sausage cold along with the bacon & hashfries on the below lukewarm. The fruit was delicious. The attention to the buffet line is just not obvious nor should guests... I am amazed that this dreadful place has such positive reviews. We experienced very long waits for service - 2 hours for breakfast on our first morning and only marginally better on other days. None of the staff smiled. There seemed to be little or no system at reception (when there was anyone there) or in the restaurant. The timer... More

Smallish hotel with friendly, helpful staff. Relaxed ambience with congenial t and good service. Free internet supplied which is always a bonus. Nice quiet location close to main area. The rooms are traditional in style. Continental Breakfast was simple but good quality and only $6. Would recommend.

This hotel is in the beautiful setting of Williamstown & is ideally placed for exploring this lovely town & it's surrounding area. The hotel staff are very friendly. The rooms are spacious, well designed & clean. If you do not wish to eat down in the town, you can eat in either the restaurant or in the bar in this... More

The Williams Inn is a beautiful hotel in a beautiful town. The staff are all helpful and conscientious and cannot do enough for you. The room had a beautiful view and was spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. We ate in the Tavern in the hotel and the food was great and the service really good. The town is full of... More

The hotel looked very nice from the outside and the reception and staff were very friendly and welcoming. We were allocated our room on third floor which was very dated, old style tv. The bedding was clean but the carpet had several nasty marks on it .......however we reported this at reception and they couldn't have been more helpful upgrading... More

Location is fine and front desk staff are extremely helpful however the inn is in grest need of a renovation. The rooms are extremely dated, musty and extremely thin walls. Also, dinner service is a but hit and miss. Breakfast is ok. If they renovated the inn it would be ok.

We heard a rumor that Williams College had bought the hotel and was going to tear it down and build something else. All in all, I think that's not a bad idea. As others have noted, this is a very dated place and the rooms have not been updated. I have not been in any kind of accommodation in years... More
