We have stayed at The Williams Inn several times over the past two years. Yes, it is old and "quaint." We usually book a superior room for a little more money and a lot more space. The regular rooms are tight. The public areas, (with the exception of the narrow hallways that can't be changed) are quite nice. The buffet... More

Extremely well-located for anyone visiting either Williams College (it's just down the street) or the Clark Art Institute (there's a shuttle). The rooms are of average size, with relatively dated bathrooms, but perfectly clean and comfortable. Included Continental breakfast is what you'd find in most 2 or 3 star Eurpoean restaurants -- coffee, juice, pastries, cereals, hard boiled eggs, ham,... More

The difference between what we saw in person and what we saw on the website was huge. 2nd floor hallway wallpaper is peeling and water stained in some places. Room was dark and barely furnished. Bathroom was poorly designed and awkward to use. On the plus side, the bed was comfy. The free breakfast was pretty good, although low on... More

The inn is cute and quaint. The rooms are old fashioned but certainly what we needed. We stayed in the inn for just one night attending two performances at the Williamstown Theater Festival one day and a visit to the Clark Museum the next day. The hotel staff were sweet and accommodating, in allow g us to check in early.... More

We stayed at this hotel almost 20 years ago and nothing has changed. They still use room keys instead of swipe cards. The televisions border on antique ( no flat screen.) The drapes were threadbare and the carpets very extremely worn. The bathrooms are desperately in need of updating. The included breakfast was mediocre. On the plus side, they have... More

Other than its location near The Clark Museum, The College and the Williams Theater Festival venues, there is not much good to say about this hotel. Of course there may be updated rooms, but ours must have been the most neglected. Oldest furniture, smallest, oldest bathroom, small, narrow space to hang up any garments and a dirty carpet. No Wifi... More

The plusses of this hotel are great service and location. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The location is short walk to the Williamstown Theater Festival many restaurants and the art museum on the Williams College campus. The Clark Art Museum and Mass MOCA are close. Also the now free breakfast was very good for one having mostly all... More

This is an old hotel that was probably very luxurious in the 40s-50s. The rooms are small and not enough power outlets, typical of old places. If you're going to the theater or to Williams College, the location is perfect. That's what you are paying (too much) for. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was fine. For $211 a... More

The inn is in a great location for visiting Williamstown and going to the Williamstown Theater Festival. It is walking distance from local restaurants and the Clark Art Institute. Unfortunately, the inn needs both updating and a good cleaning. Our room smelled and the carpet was very dirty. When we left, my husband checked under the bed to make sure... More

This is the first time we've stayed at the Williams Inn since it was taken over by Williams College and the Red Lion Inn for food services. I thought we would miss the regular breakfast option we always took advantage of in the past, but the European continental breakfast was more than ample and delicious. We do miss the opportunity... Thanks for making us a recurring destination. We couldn't be happier to have the theater season back in full swing this summer! I'm glad to hear that you appreciate our decision to switch to a continental breakfast for all of our guests. We're proud to exceed expectations by adding good proteins and healthy options but we've found that there aren't... More
