We heard a rumor that Williams College had bought the hotel and was going to tear it down and build something else. All in all, I think that's not a bad idea. As others have noted, this is a very dated place and the rooms have not been updated. I have not been in any kind of accommodation in years... More

We recently visited the Berkshires with our dogs and found it difficult to find accomodations that will allows pets. The Williams Inn was very welcoming to our four-legged companions and the Inn is perfectly located in town. We couldn't have been happier. Rooms and Interior Our room was HUGE and spotlessly clean. The king-sized bed was very comfortable and the... More

We stayed here for one night as part of a two week New England fly drive holiday. The hotel was busy as there was a school prom taking place but we couldn't hear any noise from our room. It is quite a large hotel. The room was had old fashioned decor with a very soft bed and old CRT TV... More

The Williams Inn is a relic well past its "destroy by" date. It's actually quite comical to stay there. Just laugh and go with the flow. Not only is the service slow and surly but the rooms are terribly, terribly outdated. It is next to the Williams campus which is its sole redeeming attribute.

A pleasant and convenient place to stay for cultural activities, walking distance to the new Clark Institute, and the Theatre Festival. A little old fashioned, the place could do with a face lift, particularly the bathrooms, but the beds were comfortable, the curtains kept out the light and we slept well in this peaceful and rural corner of the Berkshires.... I was a guest at this hotel last week on August 6th and 7th primarily to attend the Williamstown Theatre Festival with a friend. We chose this property based on price, location and the fact that we wouldn't need the car (except for special side trips when required). We were not let down. My friend had to leave for NY... More

Badly in need of an upgrade. Imagine a fifties movie with an old motel with horrible bedspreads. There is no charm to this relic. It said it all when the bellman came to get our luggage and asked if he needed a cart. The staff tries hard but the physical plant and the outdated processes leave little to be desired.... More

We've stayed here many times because of easy access to the theater festival venue and (most importantly) their flexibility in allowing one night stays (as opposed to many other Williamstown hotels that have two night minimums). But this place badly needs a make-over. We stayed in a "suite" with a pullout sofa that is comparable to a standard room at... More

Stayed one night. The room was $195, which was overpriced but the options are limited in Williamstown. The furnishings were reasonably attractive in the main hotel sitting area. The rooms were your basic mid-range average hotel desk/dresser furniture. Ambiance was fine -- cleanliness, efficient and welcoming staff, etc. There was a cheese-cracker-fruit board late afternoon, but nothing complementary to drink.... More

As has been mentioned by previous reviewers, this hotel is dated but certainly adequate. The room was clean, it was quiet (even though next to ice maker) and perfectly respectable. Very hot humid day so AC was definitely needed. A little noisy but most seem to be. I think all hotels are a little pricey but it is summer and... More
