This is a great hotel located in a great position to visit various parts of the Berkshires plus stroll the beautiful campus of Williams College. Also has two excellent art museums. It is also relatively near a great outlet shopping center in Vermont. Apart from the excellent hotel restaurant there are some excellent restaurants nearby. The hotel is beautifully decorated... We hired the Orchards to assist us in hosting an off site cocktail party for 75 guests. The staff did an exceptional job from beginning to end. Janell La Fleche, director of catering, was a pure delight to work with, she is highly professional. Ms La Fleche planned the layout and set up, food selections, linens and centerpieces and so... Stayed here last year at this time while visiting Williams College. See no reason not to stay again next year. Nice room, good size, quiet. Grounds are nice and the location is convenient. See plenty of Williams stickers on cars in the parking lot. I see lots of comments on the decor being dated and I guess that's true but... More

Lovely hotel that features great character and a great restaurant (the Gala). I was there for work, and this is the hotel the local employees recommend. The rooms were quite large and the beds were fantastically comfortable. We were there during a slower time, but apparently it's a hot spot for people to stay while the theater season is on... More

The bones of this inn are beautiful but everything appears worn and tired, used and abused. It looks like a fabulous property, but it needs a firm hand and a thorough investment to make it a sparkling destination it deserves to be. This is a tourist area, a popular destination for the summer festivals and for the near-by college. I... More

My wife an I have been coming to The Orchards Hotel since it opened over two decades ago. At tyhat time it was a luxury destination which made its guests feel like royalty in tastefully furnished. large rooms with great amenities. Unfortunately, this once showplace destination is in real need of an upgrade. While the rooms are still impressive in... More

This was a pleasent stop on a recent visit to see a concert at MASMOCA. If you are considering going to MASMOCA it is about a 15 min drive away, so don't plan on walking. The hotel staff was pleasent and the entryway, hallways, lobby, library and sitting area all seemed to live up to the price and charm. However,... More

Thank you Orchards Hotel for a wonderful weekend for me and 11 other friends. The rooms were perfect and the staff is exceptional. I highly recommend this hotel! The rooms are large and quiet. The central courtyard is lovely.

The orchards is unusually high-class in its huge and well-equipped rooms, traditionally elegant decor, and superior service. It is a nurturing hotel with a gracious afternoon tea and pastries. It's restaurant has excellent food and service as well.

I would give the Orchards Hotel three stars because of its decor's being a bit tired, and a general sense that the place needs a refurbishing of everything about its operations, as well as a feeling that the place is overpriced for the quality of its current accomodations and service. But I have to demote the hotel to two stars... More
