We wanted a quiet romantic getaway and found exactly that at the Mansion house. First, it was a short walk from the ferry which was great considering it was 30 degrees when we arrived. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and check in was a breeze. Our top floor room was remarkable. As soon as we walked... More

We had traveled to Martha's Vineyard for a youth hockey tournament, and the Mansion House was picked by our team to stay at for the weekend. Upon arrival, the staff was very nice and helpful. This hotel was unlike any other we had stayed at as a team, as we had been to other resorts over the hockey season. It... More

Given the limited availability during the winter, our choice was between the Mansion House and the Harbor View Hotel. We flipped a coin and selected the Mansion House… Bad Choice. Overall, it was average, but for the price we paid, even for of season, it left much to be desired. The wonderful comments shock me, as the experience was nothing... More

Wait a minute!!!! This is Martha’s Vineyard in winter with the most amount of snow since the late 1800’s! Vineyard Haven in winter, is a beautiful coastal quiet Island town. Not a place with neon & restaurants. The reviewer might have been better served if they had gone on our web site, read more about the area and identified their... More

Room: ac/heater/fan was too loud, adjacent room made a strange thumping sound, maybe it was related to plumbing. Checking in: fast & efficient Parking: unpaved behind the building Room Interior: it was cozy and comfortable, nice retreat to relax but when I realized the inefficient sound insulation, the rate I paid was not worth it. Breakfast Included: Muffin, Cereal, Coffee,... More

My husband and I stayed here on a return trip to Martha's Vineyard where I was a nanny 46 years ago. Always wanted to return to the Island and was not disappointed, still as beautiful as ever and The Mansion House was a perfect base. The hotel is charming and very tastefully decorated. Service is good and a lovely idea... More

Martha's Vineyard has always been a special place for me. I've traveled their many times but always wanted to see it in the Winter. My birthday is in February so my gal and I decided to go for a two night stay. We drove from New York and took our vehicle over on the ferry. Upon arrival to the Mansion... More

I have never stayed overnight so I cannot speak to the quality of the lodging. What I can say is that I went to swim laps in the pool and left after exactly 4 minutes. The water was the dirtiest I have seen (and I have been swimming laps for over 20 years). I thought I would try it because... More

We pride ourselves on our high standards for all aspects of our family owned Inn and are sorry that “crisper32” was disappointed and hope the reviewer will come again and enjoy swimming laps. The 75 X 21 foot swimming pool, ranging in depth from 3.5 to 9 feet, Red Cross compliant, maintained at 83 degrees with the pool chemistry tested... More

The room was spotless. Yoga/pool/hot tub/sauna - oh my! What more could you ask for? Breathtaking views from sky walk area. Loved the "tea" room with comfy chairs and fireplace. Only negative - felt staff could have been a bit more attentive.

I have been going to the Vineyard annually for several years for Thanksgiving holidays and this year I went with my family and boyfriend, whom I stayed with separately at the Mansion House. Our experience was wonderful with a beautiful room and view and the staff was so friendly and welcoming! The Mansion House is beautiful with great breakfast buffet... More

My family stayed here overnight in January, and found the room, the staff, and the health facilities all outstanding. The room was sparkling clean and comfortable. Our room had a fireplace, and it was really cozy in contrast to the light snow falling outside. We had a very relaxing time and woke refreshed and ready to venture out into the... More
