We had a delightful stay at the Hanover House! This is not a five star hotel - but it is everything it's advertised to be. We stayed in an outside room with a canopy bed, gas fireplace (which we didn't need), air conditioning (which we DID use), and a lovely shared deck (which we didn't have to share!). It is... More

We travelled to Martha's Vineyard at the end of June/beginning of July, we were three couples and had the rooms with the big deck. The rooms were clean, the continental breakfast was very good. We had the "special" breakfasts that you paid a little extra for and they were a disappointment. The staff was super friendly and helpful; Lisa knows... More

Quite nice but noisy,we got a room towards streets with a lot of traffic. The bed felt pretty worn out. Great bikes for rent - perfect island for bikerides. If ever going to Martha´s Vineyard again we will choose a hotel in Oak Hills or Edgarton.

I'm sorry to hear that you experienced some noise pollution on your visit, Gunilla. I haven't heard such a comment before, but that's why leaving your review is so helpful. I'll definitely look into this issue. Thanks for reaching out about your experience, and I hope you'll consider returning again in the future. Wishing you safe travels in the meantime!... More

We enjoyed our stay but felt that we were bothering the woman running the place when we asked questions especially about breakfast. The man in charge in the AM was kind and helpful. Perfect location however!

This is a great low key B & B to use as a place to lay your head while exploring MV. Convenient to the transit system to easily explore and get to Oak Bluffs and Edgartown as well as the rest of the island. The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable about the island and provides excellent recommendations.

Great find in Vineyard Haven. Minutes from the ferry and town center, but with a nice secluded feel. Friendly, efficient service. Nice breakfast served. Excellent value for a comfortable, well kept room.

We just stayed at the inn after the vineyard 20 mile race. It was a great place. The breakfast was so delicious, nice rooms and a lounge where our large group could hang out. A short walk to vineyard haven. Also there was a massive snow storm and they did a great job with the snow removal. We hope to... More

We stayed here in September. The Inn met all of our needs. It is not a 5-star property and the rates reflect that. However, if you want convenience, good food, yummy snacks, free bikes, a friendly owner who provides a ton of very valuable information, affordable rates, and a comfortable bed, this is a great place to stay. First off,... More

I have stayed in many bed and breakfasts, inns, and hotels, but I have never arrived at an inn and had absolutely no one there to receive me until I went to The Hanover House Inn at Martha's Vineyard. My husband and I found the front door open, however, there was no one there to greet us, so we left... More

Thank you for taking time to leave us feedback. I'm sorry to read about your experience, especially since it seems we got off on the wrong foot. Sometimes, our front desk is empty, as we're tending to needs on the ground; however, your phone call should have been answered. Any calls that provide a call back number will always be... More

I stayed here as part of a bike tour. There were something like 20 of us (I never did count!), so we had virtually all of the rooms. My room was comfortable, my roommate and I were content. The rooms are a bit quirky, as B&Bs usually are, fitting all those bathrooms into an old house....but it worked. We had... More
