We stayed for several days at the Inn and had a wonderful time. We were also lucky enough to get reservations one night at the Inn's very popular restaurant. It was quite simply the best dinner we had on the island--and we are foodies, believe me. Do not miss the delicate lamb with seasonal fiddleheads at dinner or the meltaway... more

My husband and I celebrated our 15 wedding anniversary at the Lamberts Cove Inn. We were greeted with smiles! The staff was friendly and professional. The grounds were beautifully groomed. Every arrangement I had made to be in the room when we arrived was there to include chocolate covered strawberries done by their kitchen staff. The room was elegant and... more

We can't imagine staying anywhere else on the island. This place is top notch in every respect. Beautifully decorated, thoughtfully appointed and immaculate. Outdoors is a rare treat - lovely gardens, lush landscaping and even a pool which blends perfectly into the environment. We book our stays well in advance and are eagerly anticipating our summer vacation! We last stayed... more

We stayed at the Lambert's Cove Inn last August based on the rave reviews it received on Tripadvisor and we were somewhat disappointed. While the grounds are beautiful, the rooms which are located in the main house above the reception lack privacy. Hence from our room we could hear both the conversations of the staff downstairs as well as of... more

We explain to all guests at the time of booking that the main house has seven beautifully appointed rooms as well as the front desk , office and 70 seat restaurant. The Inn was built in 1790 and has thick horse hair and plaster walls and in addition, we have added solid wood dorrs and insulation where possible. Our guests...

Even though we have never stayed at the inn (we own a summer house on the island) we dine at Lambert's Cove Inn at least once a week during the season. West Tisbury is a dry town, so bring your own bottle of wine. The Inn is surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens, so we usually a enjoying a glass of... more

First off, I rarely write reviews. Secondly, I'm even more apprehensive about recommending places to anyone, especially my close friends. Since my return, I've gone out of my way to inform my closest friends and family, that if you go to Martha's Vineyard, Lambert's Cove Inn is "the" place to stay. Top flight hospitality in a tastefully rich setting accompanied... more

My husband and I spent two nights here, while visiting Martha's Vineyard. Kell and Scott are terrific hosts, and although the restaurant was closed for dinner (off season), breaksfasts were awesome and kept us fueled for much of the day. The Inn is nestled in the woods and was a wonderful place to return to after a day of sightseeing. more

I find the previous review hard to believe. We have always been welcomed and treated perfectly everytime we are there. The staff are quite special and go out of their way to welcome every guest that walks through the door. As a repeat customer of this inn I dare you to find a more special place. I suggest everyone to... more

The staff at Lambert's Cove lost our reservation for our honeymoon stay. I was sorely disappointed by how we were treated - the staff made no apologies, and went so far as to say that we must have called to cancel the room ourselves and that they "don't make mistakes," implying that we were the ones who had messed up.... more

Our policies require quests to confirm their stay by responding to an e-mail sent when the reservation is made. This e-mail allows the quests to verify arrival and departure dates, rates and fully undserstand the cancellation policy before they pay for their stay. This particular reservation was not lost, the guest never responded to our initial e-mail or several follow...

My wife and I decided to take a short trip to Martha's Vineyard less than a month before we were supposed to leave. I did some quick research and sent e-mails to a number of inns. Almost none of them responded or had vacancies, but Lambert's Cove did. I tend to do extensive research for such trips, but figured I... more
