I reserved the King Fireplace room for 2 nights. I am 53 years old and haven't seen my significant other in 3 months, and I had just flown in from Colorado. This was to be a special weekend. In the first room we checked into, the fireplace did not work at all - then never seemed to check it out.... more

This hotel has probably the most comfortable beds I have slept in. The hotel is in a picturesque wooded location and has great service but I wish they'd invest in some light bulbs. The overhanging roof over our balcony restricted daylght and there just weren't enough lights in our rom. The bar and restaurant could use more light, too, altough... more

In short I heard much hooplah and pomp about this location. I have over 15 years in the food service and hospitality business and was looking forward to my stay. I attended a wedding reception at the Inn. Appetizers were haphazard in their delivery but well made. There was no service for the wedding party until we were finished pictures.... more

When I checked in late and went to my room I was surprised to see a Rat sitting in a chair reading the Boston Globe. I went to the Front Desk and complained. They asked me to go have dinner and they would take care of it. Dinner was very good. My Tenderloin was cooked to perfection and what a... more

My husband and I went for dinner on Valentines day. They had a set menu with either 3 or 5 courses(no duck). We had the 3 course and it was wonderful. The service is always excellent. The main course was Tournedos of Beef. They were probably the best I've ever had. We didn't stay this time but have stayed in... more

We have celebrated Valentine's Day at the Stonehedge Inn dining room for over 20 years. The service and menu have been getting worse over the past five years. Last evening was the worst. We waited at our table for 35 minutes before we could order wine. Another 30 minutes before appitizers were served. For the main course, my duck was... more

I had very high expectations of the Inn, and overall, I was disappointed with my experience. I envisioned a country property that was a bit more intimate, quiet and secluded, but instead, it found a small hotel that is set within sight of a busy byway and surrounded mainly by a big parking lot. The rooms were nice enough, but... more

My husband and I recently returned from a driving trip of New England - we are from the midwest and landed in Boston - we needed a place to stay for our first night and wanted it to be outside of the city - the Stonehedge fit the bill perfectly. About a 45 min drive from Logan airport and you... more

We stayed at Stonehedge recently for a large weekend wedding and have been frustrated and very disappointed by the service. When we arrived we learned that we were being charged for two nights when we had only booked one-- a mistake we are quite certain was the hotel's and not our own-- and we have now spent hours on the... more
