I brought some friends from China with me to see the Wayside Inn, the old school house, and the grist mill. They had a great time, and got to expeorence true New England culture. Best Clam Chower (Chowdah) and amazing food. This is my favorite place in Massachusetts. You can learn a lot about Massachusetts history, and the cuisine is... More

My family has a holiday dinner at the Wayside every year. Our discontent started a couple years ago when our del Monaco potatoes were made with some expired dairy. We told the server and they brought out a new batch, still tasting of expired dairy. Things in management seemed to be changing that year, but we weren't certain that was... More

For years we have gone to the Wayside Inn for any/ all family and holiday celebrations. This year being no different. Our reservation was for 6 pm. Drinks were ordered and served and there it ended. At 8pm we left!!! Hungry and sad. At the front desk , with our coats on a manager approached us and offered to comp... More

As we pulled into the drive of the Wayside Inn, my 6 year old son was quite disappointed to hear that there was no pool at this inn and when he heard there were no TVs on the room his expectations fell to an all time low. Once we were in the simple, quaint room, my son, board without a... More

Our bedroom w/ Bath was one of the 10 guest rooms, the inn can offer. They have several event rooms as well as elegant heated tents for weddings. Our room had no heat so our nights sleep was quite cold under a summer blanket. The function room we had was small but quite adequate. The meal was excellent and we... More

This place is so cool. The beauty of rural New England coupled with a storied history intertwined with the birth of our nation! The entire staff is super friendly and eager to please. Unfortunately we did not take the time to have dinner here (the menu offered some great sounding meals) but the room we had - the last one... More

My wife and I stayed here one (1) night in early October and truly enjoyed the property. There is an actual, working grist mill that is powered by water coming from a pond. The miller grinds corn and wheat for bread in the restaurant! Most B&B's are part of a larger property, but not like this. This Inn is the... More

10 of us met at this restaurant to celebrate a friend's 80th birthday. The atmosphere was lovely, the service great and the food was good and reasonably priced. In addition to their regular a la carte menu, they also featured complete dinners for $21 that included a choice of soup or salad, a choice of 3 meals, and a choice... More

My wife and I recently stayed at Longfellow's Wayside Inn for 3 nights. Our accommodation was room #9, one of the rooms that dates to the early 19th century with pier and beam ceiling and wide plank floor. The room was of good size having both a comfortable king bed and a twin. This room choice was recommended by Janice... More

I had previously visited the Wayside Inn, so knew what to expect and it lived up to my memories. This was the 1st part of a 3 week holiday in the States, the 1st week was spent in Boston & Cape Cod. We arrived at the Wayside about 4pm on Sunday & met friends for dinner at 6.30. Dinner was... More
