Our travel to and from Maine take us near enough Sturbridge, MA to stop at the Public House, sometimes for an overnight or just a stop for brunch. Our satisfaction with this destination make it part of our travel plans. The service, food, bake shop, and especially their ‘Plum Rum Jam” always meet our expectations.

We met with my brother and cousin on a cold winter day for lunch. The food was good, the dining room was warm, and the fire was delicious. The service was prompt and courteous. Our lunch was delivered quickly, was well prepared, and tasty. The best part about the restaurant was the historic setting, and the roaring fireplace. While I... More
