Well, where to begin? A friend and I reserved a room at the Sturbridge Country Inn for the Brimfield antiques fair in May. We are both professional antique dealers, exhibiting at the show. We waited too late to make plans, and the hotel we would usually use was booked. At the time of reservation, the Inn charged her credit card... more

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Sturbridge Country Inn in Sturbridge MA on New Year's Eve. We had purchased a package that included a room with a two person hot tub, fireplace and dinner at a neighboring restaurant, The Whistling Swan. Everything about our experience was wonderful. We had a beautiful cozy room, an incredible meal and were treated... more

The 1st time we stayed was special! The 2nd time we stayed was amazing!! The 3rd time we can only anticipate :) !!! We love getting away far enough to feel like we are away! The Inn is close enough to things to do yet private enough if you don't feel like it. Thanks!!! more

I stayed at the country Inn during a power outage in MA, the Inn had power, my house did not. We stayed in the King suite on the top floor. The room was nice and big and had a kitchenette, living room, and a pull out bed, and a large King bed. The staff was nice. Had a few small... more

When I booked reservations for the inn, I requested the best room they had since it was for our anniversary. They put us in the king loft in the main house. The carpets were stained and musty smelling and the decor looked as if it had not been updated in 30 years. The walls were so thin you could hear other... more

I found this Inn via another site, and so I didn't see the negative reviews here before I booked. If I did, I might not have stayed there. Now that we've returned, I'm very glad that I didn't see these reviews. Our main criteria for locating a B&B for our weekend in Sturbridge was that it have a fireplace, a... more

My husband and I spent one night at this inn in mid-September and were very disappointed. When we stayed here last September, we noticed that the building needed paint and the property was a little untidy (a pile of wood under the outside stairs). We surmised that they were in the process of renovating. When we returned this year, the... more

After carefully reviewing the comments/compliments on this site, we decided to give the Sturbridge Country Inn a try. My husband and I stayed here to attend local activities on the weekend. Once we found the Inn (very easy) we were a bit weary to enter. The Inn is clearly a beautiful, old, home/mansion but in need of work. The lawn... more

My husband and I were on a tour of New England and booked the property for one night after seeing their website. When we arrived we were appalled by the exterior appearance - the paint was peeling, the lawn looked like it hadn't been mowed in at least a month and the brick sidewalk had a lot of weeds growing... more

My boyfriend had booked this b&b for Christmas. The room was very nice and clean. We didn't spend much time at the b&b because there wasnt really any where to sit and relax outside your room. We used to big juzuzzi which was nice except it was LOUD! we felt like we would wake others up when we turned it... more
