Excellent service ... great breakfasts! Good access to farmland and winding roads going north in Massachusetts and to Vermont. The Norman Rockwell Museum, Chesterwood, and the Shaker Village were all in easy proximity. Great lodging in both the barn apartment and main house.

I stayed at Conroy's B and B for one month. It is on route 7 maybe one mile from Stockbridge central and easy access to many places of interest, Tanglewood, The Mount and the Norman Rockwell Museum among the many choices. I was in the barn apartment which could not have been more comfortable and with everything one could possibly... More

We were looking for a place where the drive for people would be a short one, so we were glad we found the Conroy's B&B. Location made it a comfortable drive to Shakers Village as well as Chesterwood. Joanne was the perfect hostess, she was extremely kind and most helpful throughout the weekend. We felt comfortable in the East Rm,... More

Our 2 nights in the Berkshires were much enhanced by the guidance we received from Joanne Conroy. She knew of tickets that were available for the Shed at Tanglewood, and made arrangements so we could purchase them. They were great seats and it was a wonderful concert. She also suggested and made reservations for us at the perfect restaurant. Our... More

Joanne Conroy is the best B&B proprietor of my wide experience staying in these establishments. Not only is her 1828 property impeccable inside and out, with lovely touches throughout, but she took excellent care of me, with all of my food allergy issues. She went out of her way to make sure I was able to eat within my restrictions,... More

My mother and I have stayed at Joanne and Jim's B&B for several years now as part of our annual Tanglewood trip. We find it a restful place, close (by car) to many different arts and culture centers (Tanglewood among them, but also the Clark Art Institute up in Williamstown; the Williamstown Theater Festival; Shakespeare and Company; the Berkshire Theater;... This is a great place to stay, though not really within easy walking distance of downtown Stockbridge. You will be out of the bustle, and despite being quite near to main roads, it's peaceful. There is ample parking, the rooms are nicely appointed and comfortable, and Joanne is a super-friendly and helpful host - just lovely. Stockbridge itself is a... More

Ok, lets get the bad thing out of the way. If you step out on the gorgeous deck of the apartment and you stretch your neck around, you can see the highway overpass. Ok, sure... and you can hear the highway from up there too. But that's it. And it's not annoying, unless you're trying to practice the cello at... More

I've stayed at Conroy's 14 times over the last 7 years -- twice a year since August 2005 and keep going back because it's fabulous. Owners Joann and Jim are the perfect hosts, making all guests feel welcome, and cozy, from the moment we set foot in their "home." Breakfasts are generous (Joann's homemade granola is legendary) and delicious. The... More

My wife and I decided to head to the Berkshires during the 2011 Holiday Week. We found Conroys on the Internet and took our chances. We made a great choice. Though there was no snow, the quiet off-season made no difference at Conroy's. Our room in the main Inn was just wonderful, fireplace and all! Joanne was an attentive host... More
