The Inn sits up on small hill with quite a bit of land around the backside of it. The Inn has a marking for Ben Franklin's postal delivery The original Inn is old. Though this place has a commercial kitchen & oodles of dining rooms, there is no breakfast served nor access to a kitchen. You must leave to have... More

Buyer Beware! I hosted a Baby Shower and had a few specific requests that were written and agreed on by the Manager of the Inn. When we arrived the room I was shown for the Buffet was changed, not for the better. Food items paid for were missing and we had to walk through a wedding party and another group... More

A big thank you to Phyllis, owner of the Spencer Country Inn for her warm and gracious hospitality during our weekend stay at the beautiful Inn and property. We were able to take hour long walks and explore the surrounding neighborhoods (on both sides of the highway), with grazing cows, meadows and unique homes. We stayed in the North Room,... More

The rooms are clean but the amenities are far and few between. With running "toilets" to rattling windows when the wind strikes you have to be into inns to appreciate. The saturday morning staff was excellent but other than that the rest of the staff is below average. There is no information available in the rooms except for dated magazines... More

Went to 2 weddings here. First was in 2005 and second in 2010. First wedding was upstairs in a hall. Descent food, good service, nice sized room. The second wedding was in one of the small banquet rooms. This wedding was a brunch, that I later found out it was $10 a person. Overall the food was pretty good, nothing... More

My nieces bridal shower was held at the Spencer Country Inn. The shower was originally booked for the weekend of Hurricane Irene. Multiple calls were made The day before to confirm that the shower would not be canceled. We were assured if they lost power, they had generators, and the shower would still take place..Several of our friends and relatives traveled... More

I just got home from a wedding at the Spencer Country Inn, and I was horrified! Food doesn't need to be fancy, but for a wedding, the kitchen staff should pretend that they care AT ALL about the quality of what they put out for the guests. The rolls were packaged and cold. The salad was iceberg lettuce. The "roasted"... More

We are sorry to read a review that was posted by a guest that was not aware of the menu selected by the Bride and Groom (who were pleased by the Reception and the Buffet). The rolls were not served cold, they are always fresh from Calise Bakery - never frozen or refrigerated. The potatoes were in fact served as... More

I can not say enough about how amazing Phyllis and her assistant Louise were in my wedding planning process. I was married in September 2009 off-site and we had our reception at the Spencer Country Inn. If I could relive that day a million times I would! The service was wonderful, the food was delicious and Phyllis and her staff... More

We just stayed in the guest house for a wedding. Truthfully one of the worst hotels I have "paid" for. TV was a 13 inch black-n-white with rabbit ears. A phonejack was falling out of the wall- complete with exposed wires hanging out. The lamp next to the bed did not work, the room stunk of mildew.... the list goes... More
