Let's start by saying I am not sure why this resort has less than flattering reviews. Stayed here about 15 yrs ago, enjoyed our stay but there were no onsite activities. After booking this for Aug 2014 and reading the recent reviews we were very skeptical as to what this place was like. Check in was smooth and we were... More

I gave this only three stars because the great aspects of the resort location are badly let down by the main resort building. But I'll start with the good stuff first. For part of the year this area is one of the cultural meccas of the USA. Tanglewood, Norman Rockwell Museum, Edith Wharton's house, Shakespeare and Co theatre company, dance... More

Stayed in a Presidential 2 bed 2 bath unit. Spacious apartment with full kitchen and washer drier, jacuzzi master bath and a nice shady balcony. Only downside was no internet access apart from in the reception building and the fact that we were given an apartment on the second floor despite requesting a ground floor unit well in advance as... We stayed in the equivalent of a basement walkout (we entered by walking down a flight of stairs) with limited light and air flow. Because there was zero sound insulation between floors, we could hear every movement of the family who stayed in the unit above us and I was frequently woken up throughout our stay. The design of the... More

The resort is very pretty with lots of activities for families with children. One does need to drive to some of the small towns nearby for shopping, restaurants, etc. Having read some of the other reviews, I understand why some are so opposite in their opinion of the resort. The first unit we were assigned to was a disaster. It... More

This "resort" is in need of a good cleaning and major updating. The unit we stayed in had that old and tired look with a smell to match. The furniture was shabby rustic with many of the blinds broken and in disrepair. There was no wifi in the units and not nearly enough parking. Recommend you get a top floor... More

My husband and I have just returned from a great week in the Berkshires and we stayed at Oak n' Spruce. We had reserved a one bedroom unit and were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been assigned to a lovely 2 bed/ 2 bath suite. Everything was in good working order, immaculate, and very comfortable. Our suite was... More

I have stayed in many time share resorts all over the US and this has been the worst. It was founded in 1913 and it shows its age. Our unit was two bedroom, two bath, and th done good thing I can say is that the towels were plush, the mattress firm and they had a bottle opener in the... More

We spent a week in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath presidential unit. The unit was very clean, except for a couple things. 1. The carpeting was filthy. Our socks were all stained brown. This seems to be a common problem at resorts/hotels. 2. The couch was also dirty and stained. The kids kept it open to the sofa bed all... More
