My husband and I have just returned from a great week in the Berkshires and we stayed at Oak n' Spruce. We had reserved a one bedroom unit and were pleasantly surprised to find that we had been assigned to a lovely 2 bed/ 2 bath suite. Everything was in good working order, immaculate, and very comfortable. Our suite was... More

I have stayed in many time share resorts all over the US and this has been the worst. It was founded in 1913 and it shows its age. Our unit was two bedroom, two bath, and th done good thing I can say is that the towels were plush, the mattress firm and they had a bottle opener in the... More

We spent a week in a 2 bedroom, 2 bath presidential unit. The unit was very clean, except for a couple things. 1. The carpeting was filthy. Our socks were all stained brown. This seems to be a common problem at resorts/hotels. 2. The couch was also dirty and stained. The kids kept it open to the sofa bed all... More

We just stayed for a week in a 2 bedroom unit. The unit was small compared to other resorts we have stayed at but it was modern and clean. I was disappointed that there was not a washer and dryer in the unit, as we have become accustomed to having them. The activities staff was great. There were lots of... More

I've been reading the reviews regarding the sales tactics and I'm pretty amazed. I own at another timeshare (Florida) and we came here as RCI members. They mentioned a sales talk but dropped the subject immediately. To be honest I would not own here. It's one of the most cramped RCI resorts I've stayed at ( building placement and room... More

We travel to Oak & Spruce at least once a year to stay at my mother's time share. The units could REALLY use a makeover. The decor is dated and the furnishings are uncomfortable and too large for the rooms the (over)fill. The bathrooms have mold & mildew in the tubs/showers. Guests are warned to not put their air conditioner... More

Well this resort is marketed by a team of con artists. My girlfriend and I were at Six Flags when they gave a scratch card. It indicated we had won a vacation. We were skeptical but these guys were across Six Flags and assumed they were legitimate. They claimed we would get a free vacation if we attended a 90... More

My husband and I stayed in a 2-bedroom in early May. We had had one grim visit to this resort ( loose toilet, jacuzzi pumping out black gunk, loose dishwasher door, sauna caught fire etc.), but because the area is so beautiful, outlets are nearby, and restaurants abound, we opted to give it one more go. It is unlikely we'll... More

We enjoyed our week. We ignored all of those 90 minute tours except when the tour guides were unusually pleasant and personable. Bring your hiking shoes because there is a great well marked hike right next door in Black Bear State Forest. Our building seemed to have thin walls but luckily there was no one on either side - we... More
