Race Brook Lodge is one of my favorite get aways. I've been visiting for over 13 years. And every time, I'm more in love with the place, the service, and the staff. I highly recommend their package specials as well! If you are looking for somewhere you can take a deep long breath, this is the place. I will be... More

Wonderful location, very accommodating , good breakfast, lovely dinner selection in the Tavern . Our family took a terrific hike up to the waterfalls and for the evening they had a barn for our family's evening party. We would definitely return! It's said unique setting and happy we went for the weekend!

We wanted a weekend away to just completely relax. This was the ideal place to do that. The boho vibe is definitely not for everyone — it's not immaculate, there are no room TVs (hooray!), decor is funky and unusual. But it's prefect for those of us who prefer a casual, cozy b&b devoid of fussy Victorian stuff like Laura... More

We visited Race Brook Lodge with friends. It is an "interesting" property, both in the good and less favorable sense of the word. All of us appreciated the beautiful setting, friendly staff, and laid-back atmosphere. The decor is chic bohemian, but verges on rustic grunge. It's a mixed bag for sure. There are some very stylish and artsy flourishes mixed... More

Dear peeshysmom & friends, Thanks so much for your well though out critique after your recent stay @ Race Brook Lodge. . We pride ourselves on our friendly, laid back, naturally beautiful environment and believe that our many repeat guests over the past 2 decades is a testament to just that. While, we truly might not be the perfect spot... More

If you are looking for fancy/posh spa getaway then this is not the place for you. If you are looking for a escape from reality using hiking, lying on a hammock, playing boardgames, writing and reading with the sounds of nature surrounding you then this IS the place for you. It is quirky and fabulous, like walking into a good... More

Last weekend I married the love of my life in the most magical place in the northeast. We had around 70 guests from as close as WMASS and as far away as Germany and London. The weekend was full of love, laughter, a babbling brook, campfires every night, hiking up to the waterfall, lounging around on the hammocks, amazing food,... More

My sister needed a little convincing that she should have a 50th birthday celebration. She didn't want a great big party, but finally agreed to a winter getaway with family and friends. She invited close friends and next thing I knew we were up to 50 people. So I had to find a place in New England near a ski... More

My husband and I stayed at the Race Brook lodge for 2 night in Feb. while visiting a granddaughter at The Berkshire School. We had a great room in the main lodge- Room 3 Brookview. This is a really funky, fun place to stay. Room was warm, with windows overlooking the brook. Room 3 has a little attached room with... More

Thanks so much, we are so glad that you enjoyed your stay. Just wanted to mention that Rm 9 is the lovely high ceilinged queen bed room, facing the brook. For future stays, we are always happy to quiet down our sometimes exuberant guests, if the peace of another is being compromised! More

We have visited Race Brook several times in the past, and always find it enjoyable. It is a wonderful place to go and just relax. No television, fitness center, etc. The rooms are all different yet share a rustic, comfortable atmosphere. In addition, the breakfast is wholesome, with eggs, granola, cheese, fruit, etc. The Restaurant, Stagecoach Tavern, specializes in local... More

This is a lovely old inn, with a very comfortable rustic restaurant. Over the years, the chefs come and go, but these days the food is pretty great! The service is friendly. Not the best choice if you're looking for nightlife, I suppose,
