Warm, friendly staff.......felt like we've known the innkeeper for years!! Dinner at the restaurant was an event that we will remember for years. The Abbey is breathtaking! We'll definitely visit again. more

My husband and I and another couple stayed at the Painted Lady for a weekend getaway. The room was lovely and we paid more for our room because we wanted a fireplace and jacuzzi - which we got. The room size was not overly large, but we had a queen size bed and as much room as we needed. The... more

I stayed in the Belfry Inne for only one night on 9/21/08 (having gone down for a funeral) but it was delightful. I was in the George Room in the Painted Lady. While the room and bathroom are small compared to modern hotel standards, the room is well appointed. I would opt for a larger room if you are staying... more

We stayed at the Belfry Inne for three nights. We were assigned the George Room in The Painted Lady House. It was sparkling in peppermint green with seaside rock stripey curtains and bedcover. The bed was huge-high and wide and with a good TV to watch the Olympics and a jacuzzi , it was a wonderful room. We ate in... more

I made a mistake with this booking as I thought I had upgraded to a deluxe room. When I found we have been given a very small room in neither the manse nor the Abbey but in a third building called the Village Inn, I studied my paperwork. I then realised a deluxe room seems to be the standard one.... more

I really don’t understand the raving reviews on this B&B – I’m not saying it is bad but it is certainly not as fantastic as the reviews suggest. We stayed there for 8 nights and while our room was twee (The Martha in the Painted Lady). The décor was not sumptuous, as advertised on the website. I was not impressed... more

My boyfriend and I stayed her the weekend before Christmas, just to get away. It was the most delightful and wonderful weekend, and it started as soon as we got to the Belfry Inn. We stayed at the Abbey in the Tuesday Room, which was gorgeous and if you get a chance-- book this room! The cathedral ceilings, stained glass... more

My wife and I stayed at the Belfry Inn for two nights. We were in the Painted Lady portion of the hotel which is next door to the main inn. It was a very comfortable room and the bed was great. There was a slight problem with a circuit breaker but we were able to fix it easily and things... more

We had our wedding at the Belfry this year. We had about 90 people and it was phenomenal. Our guests took the 6 rooms in the Belfry and some at The Painted Lady next door. The owner Chris Wilson is a master at his work. The meal was tremendous and the presentation great. Our server Skip very attentive as were... more

This inn and restaurant is located in an old Catholic church. The owner has done a beautiful job making it into a cozy inn and restaurant. Atmosphere abounds, all the people who helped us were friendly but not intrusive, and the food was exceptional. I would highly recommend this inn and restaurant to anyone within driving distance of Sandwich, MA. more
