Visit Tupper Inn and step into the past. Our tranquil inn, built in 1699, is replete with family antiques and historic secrets: the secret panel escape route, the under-the-staircase safe room, the locked door, and the staircase sealed into a wall. There are views of the tidal creek and marsh from the elegant, romantic, and spacious Secret Panel and Seth Pope chambers. The Twin Chamber has views of the gardens. The inn is in the National Historic District. It's a short walk to historic sites, shopping and dining. We're four houses down from the Sandwich Glass Museum where you can watch glass blowers. A 20-minute walk takes you to the famous boardwalk. Cross it and you're at the beach. Walk to the Cape Cod Canal and its little museum. We have plenty of free parking overlooking the creek. A full breakfast is served until 10 A.M. The house was built by Seth Pope, who was kicked out of Sandwich in 1670 only to come back and buy much of the town for his son John and his bride Elizabeth Bourne.
