I have been to Stripers restaurant twice in the past week. The food is great and Larry the bar tender is wonderful. They have a nice salad bar with hot bread and three different soups. I had fish both visits and it was very fresh. Ask about the $5 wine specials, it's a great deal

We have stayed a few times over the years at Stripers and although it was not "beautiful" it was a good place to stay and get together with friends. According to the new owner it's been all fixed up and filled up most of the time. Well, that's so far from the truth it's ridiculous. We paid $179 for a... More

My husband and I arrived on a Friday afternoon after 3PM, we were there to visit a relative, upon arrival I had to search for the someone to check me in and the women (who was very nice) had to see if the room was ready, after waiting for a good 10 minutes she came back and were given the... More

I took my mother for a ride today, and we stopped at Stripers Grille for lunch. The atmosphere was delightful with a roaring fireplace and lovely views across the river of Newburyport. Our waitress, Kelly, was wonderful. Very friendly and attentive. Mom ordered the baked haddock, and I ordered the baked scallops. Both entrees provided ample portions, and the seafood... More

My boyfriend and I decided to stop here around 8:30 on a Saturday night for drinks, we were surprised to see the place dead! There were only about 4 people at the bar and even then it took a few minutes to get service. We noticed no one had food from the kitchen which shocked us because this place if... More

This review is for the restaurant only not for the inn. I hadn't been there in several years and was a little reluctant after reading some of the reviews. We found it to be just as good as we remember it. We both had salmon which came with a choice of starch, coleslaw, nice mixed grilled veggies, plus the salad/soup... More

Went on Saturday and couldn't understand why the place was empty, when the food arrived, I KNEW why. Our waitress was very attentive but young. The fish ( for a fishing town!!! ) was not fresh and over cooked. French fries, limp. Salad bar...lettuce, spinach, and something which I couldn't decipher and other 'stuff' looked less than appealing. We will... More

I looked at the old reviews and this year a different set of people took over Stripers. In my opinion, they are going down the tubes. I have been twice and this second time was really awful. I ordered baked scallops that were chewy and fishy tasting. I brought them myself into the kitchen to have the cooks taste them.... More

Spent time at Salisbury beach and then went for a nice meal at the Stripers Grille...it was awesome. We sat out on the main deck and watched the boats and drawbridge. Service was excellent and the food awesome. Very nice. This will be the place to eat on our ventures to the ocean. Thank you for a great time.
