Although it is still off season, the Inn is filling up especially on weekends. We stayed in Flying Cloud, the room with king size bed and the added luxury of the porch and outside deck. The bathroom was squeaky clean and the room had a lovely antique armoire and dresser. The room has an ocean view. It was very comfortable.... More

I am so glad you and your family enjoyed your stay and beautiful view here at the inn. I hope you get a chance to return in the future to enjoy the amenities that the summer weather will bring such as our outdoor pool and a much expanded selection of items with our breakfast. More

3rd visit and the Yankee Clipper never fails. Excellent service and location. Can't wait to see the new expansion when it opens later this year! Breakfast is served fresh and hot and starts the day off right. Mike is the consumate host and is always a pleasure to see.

Omg what a beautiful quaint Inn. Katie and Mike where incredible. The continental breakfast amazing. Listening to the ocean against the cliffs. So tranquil. Can't wait to go back. Staff very knowledgeable and so helpful with reservations.

From me the road the hotel isn't eye catching, however the inside is warm and inviting! Our stay was exactly what I had hoped for and would love to visit again when the weather is warmer.. If a quaint seaside experience is what you desire, not a new cookie cutter establishment, this is the place!

Stayed on a cold late March, 2015 Friday night. We were greeted by the onsite manager, Mike. He was warm and hospitable. Offered suggestions of restaurants in nearby Gloucester and upgraded us to the Ariel 3rd floor room with a King and a twin. Big bathroom with a jacuzzi tub and living room area. There is a very homey non... More

I stayed at the Yankee Clipper for three nights in the middle of winter, as a retreat to work on a writing project. I had done a lot of searching for a hotel with water views that is open off-season, and I am so glad I picked the Yankee Clipper! It's a lovely hotel, and both it and the guests... More

The building itself was so charming, and the ocean cliff location is a show stopper. Be sure to save some time just for enjoying the view, and the prices are great for the ocean view suites. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The town of Rockport and the immediate area are so quaint,... More

This charming property has a beautiful location overlooking the ocean. We had a spacious room on the top floor which shared a huge balcony space with 2 other rooms. As we enjoyed unseasonably mild weather for late December this allowed us to make good use of the outside space. Our cosy room was furnished in a style totally in keeping... More

Web-site looked great but our one night stay at the inn was disappointing. The view from the Volunteer Suite on the upper level was good and the grounds looked nice but the suite was small and confining. Also, although it was off season, the deck area was not private and in season guests of three rooms share the outside deck.... More
