My husband and I just returned from a 2-night stay at Hedges By-The-Sea B&B in Rockport, MA. We were warmly welcomed by a very gracious hostess, Marley. We were grateful that we could travel with our miniature schnauzer, who also enjoyed his stay. The third floor bedroom has an incredible view of the sea. The room is also equipped with a kitchen and bath. Enjoyed having continental breakfast on our private outdoor deck with a view--also great for star gazing at night! Hedges is well located--2 blocks away from a small park for a quick poop run with the dog; a couple of blocks from a scenic coastal walk in pigeon cove (the dog really loved this walk especially on the large granite rocks); less than a mile from Halibut Point State Park (another scenic walk with the dog); a little over a mile from the Lobster Pool (great fried clams and scallops--lobster roll is very delicious--scenic outdoor seating so the dog can come along); a mile from shopping, art galleries and... more
