The rooms in front of the inn facing the ocean are beautiful! You can sleep to the sounds of the surf in a clean and pretty room. Had a wonderful time and wished we could stay longer. more

Stayed at the inn with my sister who was visiting. Our room was big and clean. I read reviews after booking and was nervous when reading some of the bad reviews. Not sure if the owner was there, our stay was great. The view from the deck is lovely, and the inn is a short walk to the shops and... more

Our stay was excellent! We had a room facing the ocean, which was across the street. We got one of the cheaper rooms, so our bathroom (our key opened it) was in the hallway. I thought I'd hate this but it wasn't bad at all. We had a deck area to ourselves right outside our window and since we were... more

Whenever i go to Trip Advisor, and I do often, I discount those reviews that are very personally negative because I find that most hoteiers try to be friendly if you are friendly to them and if you don't expect something that you didn't buy. I did that this weekend and went to the Peg Leg Inn (not to be... more

The owner was intoxicated and harrased us while we were hanging out on the front porch. He was very strange, and tried to follow us into our room at the end of the night. He was trying to convince my husband to go and help him close out the restaurant downstairs. We had to lie to him by stating that... more

Received excellent service from Mike. He made reservations at restuarants for us, offered free breakfast for my son who was teaching nearby, gave us a lovely large clean room. Breakfast was fresh pastries as well as fresh fruit. It was a great time. more

The owner threw us out of a room we didn't want to stay in. He harrassed my husband and I when we brought a complaint about our room to him. Unless you enjoy being yelled at and harrassed DO NOT stay at this inn. more

After reading a few negative reviews on TripAdvisor I almost skipped this property. I’m glad that I didn't. We enjoyed our May 2007 stay at The Peg Leg Inn very much. The owner (Michael) could not have been more pleasant and accommodating. He helped us with directions, dinner recommendations and reservations. One morning, we asked him about a few local... more

We stayed for a week in the Carriage House which is an above-garage apartment one street over from the actual Inn, but is owned by the Peg Leg. We've stayed every year at the Peg Leg Inn for the past 4 years, but this was our first time renting the Carriage House. It was perfect!!! We have 2 children, and... more

This is a great place to come to be right next to the sea, the rooms are comfortable and you are in walking distance of the beautiful town of Rockport. The only thing that could be improved here was the breakfast as there wasn't much choice and was a little stale. We would definately recommend a meal at Bracketts, a... more
