This was the worst experience we've ever had with anyone in the hospitality business. "Terrible" doesn't begin to describe it. What was supposed to be a 50th anniversary stay (we honeymooned there in October 1964) never made it past the inn's lobby, this time. At the check-in desk, the inebriated owner began swearing and carrying on about "not needing our... More

The building looked beautiful, the location was ideal. But that is it - we did not get to stay - The manager left a lot to be desired. Even though we made reservations five days in advance, he said he did not have our names. After a very uncomfortable discussion with manager and him telling us and another couple to... More

We were down, from Canada, exploring New England last weekend. We stayed at the Peg Leg Inn for one night and enjoyed it very much. Walking distance to everything, and it is right on the ocean. Very nice.

I have been coming here for almost 30 years, and it is still one of my favorite places to visit. To me, the Peg Leg Inn just typifies Rockport: Quaint, quiet, relaxing, and picturesque. (Note, I always try to visit in the off-season - early Fall or late Spring.) For an older building right on the ocean, the place is... More

Room with a view is a must! Deck views are fantastic, Breakfast by the window with a view is also fantastic. Our room was clean and the check in and out was seamless. Beware of the room with the private bath across the hall, the ocean view is terrific, the trips to the shower are inconvenient. Nates for lunch next... More

Have stayed in several different rooms over several years. Only one to be aware of is the Millbridge bldg room B. It's the back apt to A, every spoken word, every step from apt A is heard as if they were in your room. If kids are in A and like to jump off beds and run up and down... More

I was hoping to meet the crazy drunk owner but instead I got 2 very nice sober men. Upon check in we were personally escorted to our room and given a briefing. Personal service like that doesn't seem to exist. The room is big and the deck is beautiful. The contental breakfast isn't bad either. It's a step up from... More

My husband and I come to Rockport quite a bit. This was our first time staying at the Peg Leg Inn. We stayed in room 11 which is on the 3rd floor and has a nice private deck. The room faces the ocean and has a wonderful view. You could just sit in the room all day and listen to... More

We stayed at Pegleg in April 2013. We had not booked ahead and when we saw the place we decided it was for us. We went with friends and were given adjoining rooms with a shared bathroom. The bathroom led off our room but it didn't cause too many problems as we know each other well. The beds were strangely... More

Great room. Spacious. I have two suggestions: 1. Provide coffee before 8AM breakfast. 2. Light on both sides of king bed. Other reviews have commented about the owner. We was certainly serious but not unfriendly. I'd recommend room #1. It's in a corner with lots of light and generous size
