My sister and I shared a four-day vacation break at the Quarterdeck and chose it because of the views in the photos. We weren't disappointed. This tiny inn sits as close to the edge of the Atlantic as possible without toppling in. Sitting in the bed in the evening, you don't even see the land and can imagine that you're... More

The window air conditioner did a good job and the bed was nice. While the photo's look nice, in reality it needs work. The bathrooms are small, dated, yet clean. The view was great, but there is no water access. After staying there I would check out the Yankee Clipper Inn or the Emerson Inn. WiFi was dial up, we... More

The Quarterdeck is a small inn on the edge of Pidgeon Cove. The rooms are lovely with ocean views (like being on a ship) of the very nearby coast. The garden overlooks the cove and is lovely to sit in anytime of the day. Randy the owner/host could not be more helpful. Immaculate rooms. Perfect place only a few minutes... More

During a recent girls' getaway,my sister and I stayed at the Quarterdeck Inn for two nights. As other reviewers have said, it's about as close to the water as you can get. The property is well maintained and there are plenty of nice spots to sit outside overlooking the water with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine.... More

We love the area and were lucky enough to find the Quarterdeck. The owner/innkeeper Randy could not have been nicer. He was eager to tell us about the best restaurants, beaches, and sites to see. Our room was spectacular with a view to match. It felt like we were sailing on the Atlantic Ocean, we were that close. The room... More

This small inn is right on the water's edge and provided a stunning view of the sunrise from the large picture window and deck. At night you see the lighthouse's flashing lights. Randy was courteous, but firm about the rules (not a problem for us). The room was clean, but small. We weren't there to sit in the room though.... More

Loved our visit to The Quarterdeck By the Sea in the small, New England village of Rockport, Massachusetts, just north of Boston. The nice innkeeper Randy met us at our parking spot just off the road. We walked down the granite steps and through the flower garden to our room on the top floor of this lovely inn. There is... With my boyfriend being less than a month shy of 21, I emailed them asking about their minimum check in age policy because it wasn't on their website. Then I kindly asked if they would make an exception if it was 21 because some other B&Bs have done this for us. Got a rude response from a Randy that was... More

Awesome views and location. However, breakfast is over a mile away, small room, paper-thin walls, no frills. Basically a post card boarding house. Strict rules and not smoker friendly if you smoke. Will try something else next time

Quirky hotel, but worth the trouble for the views. A mile out of Rockport with lawns down to the rocks. Precipitous path down from minimal parking (more down the road) but then you can sit and watch the sunset with the waves lapping. We watched the sunrise from our bed. Breakfast is taken at a motel a mile away, but... More
