I won't bother to complain about price, because this town is pricey, all the time and especially during event weeks. So it's not the price that was an issue, it's the quality of the facility. The overall finishes, attention to detail and maintenance of the room is lacking. It's not horrible, it's not falling down, there were no bugs or... More

We have been coming to Provincetown and the Masthead for generations and the view never gets old. Old quiet Cape Cod charm just minutes walk from bustling downtown, great resturants, nightlife, family fun and beaches. Or stay put and watch the ever changing views and scenery from the private deck and beach as the cottages have kitchens and everything necessary... More

My friend and I were shocked when we arrived, so much so we wanted to leave, unfortunately, there were no available rooms anywhere in Provincetown, Bear Week. We did manage to book another place on Friday for the remainder of our stay, thank god, otherwise we would have left and gone to Florida. Just be advised, there was no refund... More

We stay at The Masthead every time we come to the Cape! It's old Cape Cod charm at it's best! Right on the water, take a swim or walk the beach flats at low tide. Close to town but very quiet, you feel like you are in a residential area, and you are!! Close to the bike trails, National Seashore,... More

My friends and I came to the Masthead for a week in early July and quite honestly, with the structures that they have, the Masthead did as well as they could. Everything was great, from the check-in process, to their continual checking in to see if we needed anything, to the location directly on the water, but one thing best... More

My husband and I have been staying at the Masthead for many years. We often travel with a few other couples and have always had a wonderful experience at this hotel. We truly enjoy the old charm and quaintness of the Masthead, not to mention it's awesome location. Sitting on the deck and enjoying the water is the most relaxing... More

My friends and I stayed here on a Saturday night in the summer and had a great time. We got a Queen room with a pull out sofa and the room was large enough to sleep 4 people, if needed. The location was great. It was about a 15 minute walk to the city center; just far enough to be... More

We found this place in the West End of Provincetown, The tip of Cape Cod is straight across the water with the breakwater to the west and the town to the east. The tide goes way out and offers an adventure for looking for critters. The breakwater is right there for a walk to Wood End lighthouse, Cape Cod Bay... More

Our roof is leaking on to our bed, like, where we sleep. The management won't fix it but is offering a free night on a FUTURE stay. Uh, no, thanks but no thanks- I don't see us taking you up on that. Next time we'll be staying somewhere with some amenities and a hint of customer services.

My wife and I stay at The Masthead whenever we visit Cape Cod. You can't beat the location. The grounds are beautiful. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The views are stunning. Every cottage we've ever stayed in is classic Provincetown - our favorite is Isabella Rossolini's room. Any time of year we've had the best time.
