We booked through Tripadvisor. I did not realize that I booked a room with a shared bathroom, not a big deal for me, but my wife was not too thrilled with that aspect. The room was great, a very comfortable bed, one the best beds I have ever slept in. The grounds were beautiful, well kept and the deck along... More

Location: Hotel is about as far west as you can be and still be in Provincetown. It's about a 10 minute walk to the shopping district. It's actually quite nice as the area is very quiet at night. The hotel is also right on the water. It's made up of several separate bungalows, each with several rooms/suites/cottages. Rooms: This review... More

Pros: The staff was very nice. The room was big. I enjoyed using the Sun Deck that's right on the water. Cons: The room was very dated (but clean). Tiny bathroom. The Wi-Fi wasn't working when we were there. It was a little bit of a hike into the center of town. The price was pretty steep, but it's hard... More

This is a good place to stay in Provincetown if you want a quiet, private place. We timed the walk into town, and it took 10 minutes to get to the edge of the commercial establishments, 15 minutes to be in the center of it all. Note that we walk at a brisk clip. As I said, this is a... More

Booked this at the last minute. Should have waited till we got to town and found something else. I wasn't terrible. It was fine to sleep at. Wouldn't want to spend any actual time there though. Pretty beaten up. Just far enough from the centre of town to be a slightly inconveniently long walk. But, well, it was cheap, so... More

Recently we stayed at the Masthead in PTown for the third consecutive year. The Masthead has congenial staff and great location. We enjoy the quiet end of PTown, walking distance to beach, shops, a helpful sandwich shop, boat rentals, and more. Our accomodations were perfect for a couple; fabulous water view, neat kitchen, outside deck with direct access to the... More

For my husbands 50th birthday last week, we stayed at the Masthead Resort- I believe this was our 4th stay there. This time, we stayed in a room instead of a cottage - The White Room! It was so crisp and clean -and had a magnificent view of Provincetown Harbor. Perfect for a one night stay! We enjoyed some cocktails... More

I need a place to stay in Ptown because I was doing a job. I liked the price and the location of the masthead. It was not a typical hotel- the first 2 nights we were in a smaller room and shared the bathroom which worked out just fine. We were enjoying Ptown so much that I decided to stay... More

The property was nice and the staff was great. I did not like the fact all of the fire alarms had been unplugged. During our visit the alarm went off at 6am. I told the office and they just disconnected the alarms. Talking to friends in another unit, their alarm was also disconnected. I did not feel that safe at... More

My family has been staying in Cottage #35 (The Richards Cottage) since the 1950's, and we keep returning. This is the real deal - an old Provincetown cottage with low ceilings, narrow stairs, lots of antiques (including some beautiful, hand painted furniture by Peter Hunt), flowers all around, and the most gorgeous view of Provincetown Harbor to be enjoyed every...
