Didnt have high expections of the resort after some of the reviews i read but needed a one bedroom close to town as i was traveling with my three teenagers and we like room to spread out. I was pleasently surprised upon our arrival at the sandcastle...the room was recently renovated, new carpet...furniture...nice kitchen...big balcony....everything i wanted. The grounds were... More

I absolutely love my visits to Provincetown, and saved all summer for a vacation with a friend of mine. Unfortunately, the combination of Hurricane Irene and the lousy treatment we received at this resort did their best to ruin the couple of days I was there. Being from New Jersey, and knowing that the hurricane was endangering my stay, I... More

We stayed here mid August 2011. Weather was great. We enjoyed the beach steps away from the room, large outdoor pool (3ft to 10ft deep), indoor pool and I door hot tub. The activities for kids were great too. The staff made sure our stay was fun. Activities included kids movie night, outdoor BBQ, ice cream, sandcastle building contest, scavenger... More

This resort had everything you'd expect of a $30 motel. My wife and I entered the room at 4:00 P.M. (I thought this check-in time seemed a little on the late side especially with a 10A.M. Checkout) to be greeted with an obnoxious musty B.O. smell. We dropped off our stuff and went out for the night. We returned at... More

We work very hard to check in guests as soon as their room is ready. With 145 rooms with kitchens to clean in six hours, some of them are simply not ready until the posted check in time. Both the head of housekeeping and the general manager went to the room to investigate the obnoxious smell. Neither were able to... More

This is the second year that we have rented a week. The first year was a bit iffy because of the outdated units and not so clean carpet. Although I had figured they would begin on the inside of the untis because the outside had been completely renovated. I was pleasantly surpirsed when I went to thier website to see... More

The Sandcastle Resort accommodated us for the night when our hotel in North Truro double-booked our room. The staff was very friendly. We stayed in a two room suite which consisted of a bedroom with 2 double beds, a living room with pull-out sofa, a kitchenette with stove and fridge, a standard bathroom, and balcony. The room was everything you'd... More

Two Nana's and two grandchildren spend the week of Memorial Day at this resort (not much of a resort - a converted motel to timeshare). Upon an early arrival, we were told our unit was indeed ready and we were allowed to check in immediately. We had a one bedroom (sleeps 6). The unit was in the main building and... More

Where should I begin? I rented from an owner. My agreement said I could check in at 1pm. I drove from upstate NY with 2 small children, we arrived at 2:30pm. The front desk told me ubruptly that my paperwork was wrong and I would have to wait until 4pm. No one at the front desk offered to check with... More

While I fully realize that we occasionally miss the mark, it's difficult to believe we missed all of this. If we did, I sincerely apologize and will take the appropriate steps to correct the oversights. I do feel compelled to comment on some of the criticisms though. It was your agreement with the owner that stated the check in time... More

Please understand... This really depends on who you are. If you are a luxury traveller and have to stay here because nothing else in P-town is available, DON'T. If your expectations are low and you've never staying in a Four Seasons....it might be ok. My room was clean and recently remodeled....you know....foam pillows, not-so-great bedding..... If you don't care about... More

The negatives reviews are all related to the place prior to the recent refurbish and the location remains ideal for familes or couples. The new decor is well done throughout. New Carpet, Beadboard, Furniture, Fixtures, Snackbar, Siding/Roofing, Balconies, Workout & Community room are all well done and update the units in a great Cape cottage like way. I thouroughly enjoyed... More
