The guest house was a magnificent old building both inside and outside and in an exceptionally good location. The continental breakfast offered was very good and the housekeeping staff were very pleasant. However, while there are about thirteen rooms, there is only enough parking for seven vehicles, based on a first come first served basis. Thus, you can end up... More

Used to stay here under previous ownership. In those days, the property was tastefully decorated, you were greeted with a warm welcome, and you left wanting to return again and again. These days, not so much. The owner has no business being in the hospitality industry. You let a couple of "misses" go, attributing them to the newness of the... More

The Beaconlight Inn was an excellent choice for accommodating family and friends for our wedding in October 2014. Our guests ranged in age from 8 to 89, and everyone was made very comfortable by the hospitable owners, Mark and Keith. The continental breakfast (fresh fruit, locally baked pastries, yogurt and granola) worked perfectly for the comings and goings of our... More

I stayed here for 3 nights in July 2014...and had a very comfortable stay. The owners were friendly enough and accommodating to our needs. I understand their need for guest rules...the house is beautifully maintained and they keep the property in tip-top shape. I have read some of the reviews...and I think it is unfair to compare this place to... More

We stayed there for a weekend getaway. When we first walked in we were greeted by a young man that showed us to our room. His attitude makes up for the attitude of the other staff member we encountered during our visit. The gentleman with an english accent needs to tone his attitude down a bit, it borders on being... We spent 4 days here and enjoyed every minute. Our room was very clean and neat. The staff and owners are very friendly and helpful. We are vegan and they made special vegan granola bars for us and also had soy yogurt. I was able to go to the kitchen and get coffee when I wanted it. They have a... More

We chose this guest house because it was the very last room available in PT for the weekend. The location was perfect. Room was clean, comfortable, and the bed was awesome. Our host was very kind. Coming from Martha's Vineyard tourist fatigue is easy to spot. I'd recommend visiting in June or September.

They call this a guest house but they certainly didn't make us feel like a guest! PROs: Very clean, central location in a charming, well-maintained location. Adequate morning breakfast with different home-made pastries (they do amazing scones). CONs: Teeny tiny room with the lumpiest bed I've been in since sleep-away camp when I was 10! They charge more then many... More

Stayed here 3 days during the Month of May 2014. The staff was great, the room which I stated was on the small side for the price we paid. The B@B was more like a bed. The breakfast was a joke, and the kitchen closes early so if you needed ice or anything you better get it prior to 9pm.... More
