We stayed two nights at the John Carver. The central location is a big plus - sights and lots of Restaurants in the vicinity. Room a little out of date but ok. Restaurant Nice staff - food good. Just a shame that after having booked for 2 nights they deactivated the key after the first night, consequently looking us out.... More

My husband and I were really happy with our stay here. It is in walking distance to everything, main street and the harbor. I loved being able to get up and walk to a coffee shop for an ice coffee (which was amazingly good)! The hotel restaurants were really great too. We enjoyed breakfast and drinks in both. The food was... More

Spacious, lovely, clean rooms. Ultra-comfortable bed. Graciously friendly staff. Cozy tavern. Delicious food. Luxurious spa. Fun theme pool. Great rates! This was our second stay in 4 months. We will be back.

We just had a relaxing and peaceful weekend away spent at the John Carver Inn in Plymouth MA. The room was clean and the service was friendly and accommodating. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was clean and well stocked with towels, soap etc. Although a bit dated we couldn't beat the History Package Deal for price and... More

I have stayed at the John Carver Inn many times, usually for a week each time. The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and professional, and the location is perfect. I prefer it to the more modern hotels; partially for the old quality feel, but mainly for its location. It’s an easy walk to all the restaurants, AND unlike... More

Three southern sisters felt like part of the John Carver Inn "family" while exploring Plymouth and surroundings. We could walk to many nearby historical sites, and the front desk gave us local maps, marking the museums, restaurants, churches - whatever we requested . The gracious hospitality - from reception desk, housekeeping and wait staff, plus yummy meals in their Hearth... More

This hotel is in a great location within short walking distance to restaurants and shops. And the staff are super friendly and called my cell phone when the room was ready (even though we arrived a few hours before check-in, they let us in as soon as they were done cleaning it) The hotel itself is not much to talk... Spent the weekend with my three kids there and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The kids enjoyed the pool the most. The entire staff (front desk, life guards, housekeeping, & restaurant) were so friendly and helpful. We can't wait to attend again next year.

This hotel has the potential to be great: It is in a perfect location for exploring the area, it has a fantastic themed Mayflower pool and slide (which our kids loved!) and boasts a lovely restaurant (Hearth and Kettle) serving great food/breakfasts. However, this is where the positives end. If I were to describe the main body of the hotel... More

We live nearby but were celebrating with friends and thought it best to stay over night in Plymouth. I was expecting a dated, dingy, motel-like experience (not sure why I had that impression) but I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and quality of the furnishings, linens, bed, etc. We did not spend much time in our room (only to...
