The John Carver Inn is a great place to stay. It's well within walking distance of the Plymouth Waterfront and many fine restaurants and shops all reasonably priced, as is the hotel itself. There's also a very fine restaurant and bar within the hotel. During the winter and spring they have dinner theaters with overnight packages that are fairly priced.... More

Myself, my sister and her four year old son booked one night at the John Carver Inn in Plymouth Massachusetts during the blizzard of 2015. On the second day of the blizzard it became clear that we were unable to leave the hotel because of the dangerous driving conditions. The hotel Front Desk Office Manager went well beyond her responsibilities... More

Nice room a little dated. It's a family type place not for a business traveler. They have a pirate ship in the indoor pool. It is however walking distance to the harbor food and shopping. If I had kids this is a spot. Not so much for me I'll pass from now on.

We are ffrom the area, but needed to stay overnight in Plymouth while our home was being remodeled. We were pleasantly suprised to see that visitors to our town had such a nice place to stay. The outside picture does not do the inside justice - it is much more 'Inn like' than the front picture suggests. Rooms are quaint,... More

Our stay was only one night, but we wish we could've stayed longer. It all started with booking our room with Karen. She understood our son has special needs and assured me that he would be fine and she was right! The hotel staff was wonderful from the welcoming ladies at the front desk(Angela and Dee), to the friendly staff... More

If you're coming out to Plymouth to experience the pilgrim attractions, this hotel will provide a nice, centrally located place to anchor your visit. Kids will love the Pirate Cove Pool with nice slide and lifeguards (!). I don't know why the call it "Pirate Cove" when the ship housing the slide is called the Mayflower and the hot tub... More

We have been bringing our nieces here near the holidays over the past 13 years or so. We had stopped because they were getting a bit old for the pool, but this year we brought along their five year old foster child. Its a fun place to spend the night with the kids. Hearth and Kettle is right on the... More

The hotel staff were excellent during our recent stay. We stayed specifically to take advantage of the special programs they were running for our 5 year old and twin 3 years olds. They were able to keep them entertained so well we didn't even consider leaving the hotel during our stay until the very end when we made an excursion... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the animal show, Lego movie and availability of games. Decor is a bit dated but the rooms were clean. My 7 year old loved the pool and we enjoyed the birds eye view of the pool from the hot tub. Friendly staff. Good value for the $. Looking forward to another stay over the summer.

We decided to book a last-minute getaway for a few nights including New Year's Eve. The staff here was very friendly, extremely clean room, lots of activities for kids, great location, the pool was amazing, and the food in the restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend this property to families.
