The Clapp House is an old character house in the Berkshires. On the map, it seems, the driving distances are longer than they really are - you can easily get to any of the nearest towns and attractions. This is a charming B&B conveniently situated near Lenox and Stockbridge and with the home cooked breakfast is definitely a better deal than the chain hotels in the area. On a damp night staying at the Thaddeus Clapp House is definitely worth coming indoors. Just flick a switch and the 'fireplace' with dancing flames turns on and warms the elegant room in a minute.
