First and foremost, there is nothing really to complain about with respect to this property. However, there is nothing special about this hotel either. It is clearly an older property and it shows its age. It is clean and the staff was friendly, however pieces are just getting old and worn. For example, the furniture is dated, the lock on... More

Just there for a wedding....parents of the groom. Room smelled like smoke...supposedly all non-smoking...all they did was send someone up to spray. No one ever made up our room for Saturday night and no one at the front desk seemed to care. Usually love Marriotts. Other than a comfortable bed and being surrounded by ou wonderful family and friends, this... More

Staff made me feel very welcome after a long, tough flight. I'm Marriott Gold status and was treated very favorably upon arrival. Room was very clean. Check-in very efficient and quick. Concierce lounge was well stocked and staff was very friendly in the lounge. Nice location being close to Salem and close enough for quick trips into Boston. Many thanks... More

I wouldn't say that there is anything special about this hotel. It wasn't bad, but it's not great either. As others have noted, this hotel is outside of Boston, and you definitely need to have a car. Parking is free, so that's a plus. One thing I did not like is that the fitness center is on a lofted area... More

We were referred to this hotel from another Marriott that was full. Upon arrival, the desk staff was very courteous and pleasant. We were pleasantly surprised, as the price was reasonable and the room was great. It was clean and very roomy. The continental breakfast was perfect. We got very lucky finding this hotel on the shore with no reservation... More

Stayed at this hotel while on business. Asked for business rate and was given hard time. Front desk staff was very rude at night and in the morning. Because I asked for business rate would not let me have second night. Hotel is old and could use some updating. Rooms were not very clean. Alright hotel.

Can't go wrong with Marriott and this is no exception - just know that it is not actually in Boston proper but a good 30 minute drive N of the city and Logan airport. Usual great quality beds and rooms were nice. You do need transportation if you are staying at this location. A solid choice and good value as... More

We have family in Swampscott where there are 0 hotels or B&Bs. Salem is a little further away and the two hotels there are overpriced and overbooked. There is another Mariott nearby but it doesn't hold a candel to the one in Peabody. Constantly maintained, we have stayed there a number of times over the past 4 years and have... More

This Marriott is a nice hotel--okay rooms, nice pool area, and EXCELLENT front desk staff. Every person we encountered at the front desk went above and beyond--printing out directions, recommending excursions, talking to my kids and generally making us feel very welcome. My one quibble was with housekeeping. Perhaps our cleaner was used to bigger tips (we left only $4... More

Clean, and we stayed here free for a day with ur points. Breakfast was good, and it was a quick check in. There are tons of fast food restaurants nearby. I will admit its a little hard to find.
