The Madison Inn is located only two blocks from the ferry. We walked the to the Inn with no problems. We arrived about 2:00 pm and stored are bags while we waited for the room. Check in went smooth. This was our first trip to Martha's Vineyard and thanks to the friendly, helpful staff and the homey atmosphere at the Madison Inn we will be going back again and again. Booked 1 night, room 11, after reading the many positive reviews on Tripadvisor. Not to be snotty, but I really wonder what accomodation all these positive reviewers are used to staying in? Have stayed in many B&Bs/ Inns, but never in one that had so much to offer -- Umbrellas, lobster crackers, coolers and towels you can take to the beach, free coffee every morning and much more.
