We just returned from a very lovely, wonderful stay at the Capricorn House. We have summered on the island for the past 12 years while raising our daughter. We always rented a place and while doing so have always past and admired the beautiful Victorian Mansions on Seaview Ave, the prime location for beach views and Martha's Vineyard historic nod... more

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in early June and were extremely happy with the house. It definitely has that "home" feeling. The rooms and bathroom were clean and just right. The beds were really comfortable and the continental breakfast hit the spot. The house sits at a great location, just a 5 minute walk from the... more

Deedre and Henry. The best hostesses in town. Although I've never stayed any place else, there is no need to. The Capricorn Inn is a very warm and welcoming B&B. My friend Lui (who lives on the island) introduced me to The Capricorn Inn several years ago and it's been my home away from home ever since. The view is... more

This was our 3rd visit to The Capricorn House. Each time we have not been disappointed. We have on occasion stayed at others B&B's/hotel on the Vineyard, but make this our first choice. The prices are very reasonable, the breakfasts are fresh and a lovely variety, the room and bathroom clean and the host hospitality is pleasant & helpful. Beach... more

We stayed in Room 6 - Bench Rose Room. The room looked nice and cosy even though it was a little small. The room fits the bed with some walking space and space for a chair and dressing table. Not a lot of space to put a whole load of luggage but just right for us. The room and bathroom... more

We go back to this little B&B every year. First of all you can't beat the ocean front location. Some rooms get full or partial ocean views. Sitting on the porch in the morning or evening and looking at the ocean is priceless. The breakfast is basic but homemade. Some rooms are smaller than others, but all are very clean... more

This being our first trip to Martha's Vineyard, we decided to be a little risky and play everything by ear. Upon doing some research on the B&B's on Martha's Vineyard we did come across "The Capricorn House" and we're very impressed. After we arrived we took the bus down to Oak Bluffs and walked right to the Capricorn House. The... more

We spent 4 nights here at the end of June. Room was small but clean with comfortable king bed and pillows. Fresh baked muffins and melon were part of the continental breakfast. Capricorn House is oposite a beach and it was so relaxing to have breakfast on the porch overlooking the water. It's a perfect location to walk into Oak... more

We stayed for a weekend, had great weather, and the staff was welcoming, but the accommodations and amenities were on the marginal side. The location to the downtown area of Oak Bluffs and the Steamship Authority were great and easily walkable, and it is right across the street from a public beach, but there are better deals to be found... more
