Upon checking into the room, two hours after checkin time leaving plenty of time to confirm an acceptable room, the room's bathroom had the previous guests hair in it. After arguing several hours (he didnt believe us even though he wasnt there and had to make several repeated phone calls) with the manager via phone, the bathroom was clean (not... more

I recently stayed here and was very happy with the whole experience. Ok, it is not very luxurious and there are no phones in the rooms - however, do we really need a phone in a get away from it all holiday. Staff were very pleasant and helpful and had no objections to us having a bit of a party... more

this hotel is in a lovely spot overlooking the harbour BUT the basics are missing. No food or drink served on the premises nor a telephone available in the rooms. The hotel was relatively clean but it was a nuisance to have to go up town for something to eat - especially in the morning. more

I have been going to the vineyard for the past 15 years and have always been fascinated with the beautiful exterior of the Wesley Hotel. This year, I decided to stay at the Wesley for a weekend. Considering the price of the Hotel for one night, $230, and the history of the hotel, I "assumed" that the hotel would be... more

I visited the Vineyard for the first time with my friends and I had the worst hotel experience ever in my life! Not to be dramatic, but to be real. I agree with other bad reviews I've read. Service doesn't exist, the bed linen was stained and appeared unclean. The mattress was stained and looked beyond used. No phones in... more

Although the location is great, and the grounds were well maintained, this could not possibly make up for the poorly maintained physical plant, dimly lit rooms, and total absence of amenities within the hotel. The table cloths in the dining area were wrinkled similar to when my teenagers do their laundry. This is a vacation facility..how about a newspaper, cable, internet access.... more

My sister had a surprise birthday party on the vineyard in August and we booked the Wesley to stay for an overnight because we thought it would be a top of the line experience mainly because of location and the PRICE OF THE ROOM! The location of this hotel is the ONLY thing going for it. The staff was not... more

We were completely taken by Martha's Vineyard. This was the only hotel with space when we decided to stay overnight. Tiny room, smaller bathroom, without a view for $225 plus tax. Not even a coffee maker or phone in the room (coffee in the lobby frequently cold). Broadcast TV only, no cable or satellite. Location is excellent, adjacent to the... more

THe location is great and the management thinks they can treat their customers like [--] because of it. The rooms are so far overpriced it itsn't funny. They are small, dingy, worn out, smelly and moldy. Worse than that, the staff, starting with the owner and his wife, is rude, insulting, argumentative and insolent. As proprietors working to satisfy the... more

We stayed here for one night and the location is great. We brought our boat over from the Cape and had the teens stay on the boat while my husband and my brother in law and his wife stayed in the room along with my 3 year old son. They charged an extra $30 pp over double occupancy . They... more
