My wife and I stayed at the Centennial B&B over the weekend of July 12-13, while I attended the Green River Festival in nearby Greenfield. From the very beginning our stay was superb, our hosts Joan and Steve were very accommodating with our tardy arrival, and offered to make dinner reservations for us. We did take their recommendations for dinner... More

Stayed here for three nights in late June. Room was well-appointed, ensuite bath was clean with a good shower. The small window A/C unit struggled a bit with the unusually warm temps, but it was adequate by morning. Television is older CRT, but who uses B&B for a TV lounge, right? Breakfast was really good, with tarts, scones, fruits and... More

We absolutely loved our fall get-away at the Centennial House Bed and Breakfast! This historic home transported us to another time, and yet it is cozy, warm and welcoming. The breakfasts were delicious. Be prepared for wonderful creaking wood floors and comfortable four-poster beds! Make sure to take advantage of visiting Historic Deerfield, as our innkeeper, Joan, suggests. It was... More

Dear Taryn, It's always great to receive a positive review but to have someone write on our behalf months later usually means that you've been thinking about your vacation and remembered something nice about it. We're delighted to be part of those memories. We enjoyed meeting and spending time with you and hope you'll come visit us again next time... More

My husband and I stayed at the Centennial House Bed and Breakfast from January 24-26, 2014. We stayed in the Deerfield Suite. This room has its own private bath with a jacuzzi tub plus a separate room with two twin beds. The main room has one of the most comfortable beds we had slept in. We had a hard time... More

Thanks so much, Sabrina and Mike. You were wonderful guests--friendly and open to new places and things. We loved the fact that you sought out a place for your getaway that was consistent with your hobbies and interests--B&B's, antique houses (you've restored one), and a quiet country setting but within reach of restaurants and activities. You had a list of... More

My fiance and I visited here in November 2013 and had a fantastic stay! After being in Boston for two nights (and getting engaged!), we found the Centennial House B&B to be very warm and inviting. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable and we both enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub and other features. Joan and Steve went out... More

If you're going to have a bed and breakfast, two things better be great: the bed and the breakfast! As for the bed, it was a high bed with a very comfy mattress. I like that sort of thing. I slept well, and woke up to a rooster's call. Linens were soft and wonderful. As for breakfast, as someone else... More

On the same day this was posted we received a review on another well-known travel site (easy to verify) which commented on our breakfast this way: "My expectation for breakfast at any B&B is to leave feeling fuller than I need to be and Joan did not disappoint us!" The photo referenced in the TA review is of a platter... More

What a great two nights we spent at the Centennial House Bed & Breakfast in Northfield MA. More than just a B&B, the hostess, Joan, was full of local history and we enjoyed talking to her throughout our stay. Our room had a high bed, fireplace, separate bath. It was quiet even though both nights we had several other guests... More

Joan and Steve, along with their two dogs, are wonderful hosts. The property is located in the historic part of Northfield and from there there is easy access to a wide variety of interesting places. The Inn itself is furnished with antiques but is not overly fussy making for a comfortable, relaxed place. The grounds are very nice with outdoor... More

My husband and I visited the Centennial House several times, and are always taken aback by the beauty of the grounds and the coziness of the B&B. Joan and Steve do a wonderful job opening up their home and making feel home to us. The grounds are beautiful and well-groomed, the interior is cozy, very clean and warm. The food... More

Dear S., Thanks so much for your kind remarks. It's great when someone "gets" what we're doing here and what Northfield is all about. We're so happy as well that we're getting more guests like you from Chicopee, Westfield and other towns in the Springfield area for what we call "the hour away getaway"! We'd love to see you again.... More
