Our room at Kalmar Village was disgusting. Rugs were so dirty we put down towels to walk on. Towels, sheets were grungy. Broken and missing handles on furniture. We prepaid our room so we were stuck. We ask for another room but said they were booked. When I complained checking out he ask why didn't I ask to see a... More

Me and my bf stayed here for three nights and loved it. We walked into Ptown --15 minutes walk! everyday and loved walking on the beach (bay side) and it was an easy peasy ride to semi private ocean side bluffs and beach... Not a rowdy place..good for that romantic getaway. My bf loved cooking on the grill for us..yes.... More

We've been a Kalmar Village patron for over 20 years. Their cottages are clean, they provide daily housekeeping and something for every family member. The location can't be beat; it's right on the beach, and it's a large, beautiful wide beach accessible from any cottage using the convenient boardwalk. They host nightly campfires for people of all ages, and popular... More

Just spent a weekend at the Kalmar Village in North Truro, MA. My wife and I were there to attend a wedding at the Kalmar. We had the best possible weather you could imagine, which made for a fantastic wedding venue. Our room was rustic at best. I thought my reservation was for a small, one room efficiency cottage, however,... More

We have been coming to Kalmar - with 2 families - for about 20 years. Our kids love it (they rent their own cabin now), we love it, it feels like our home away from home. The staff is friendly, the view in unbeatable, and it is right on the beach (bayside). Does the decor need updating - sure -... More

I recently treated my Mother to a 3 day trip to Truro for her 86th birthday and by ways of a friends recommendation we happened to learn about Kalmar Village. This is a hidden gem and a very special piece of property. The owner, Dave Prelack was so accommodating and gracious when deciding which room would be most appropriate for... More

We stayed in cottage by parking lot as it was last minute booking and I would not recommend it. Noisy passers-by coming in and out, screen doors slams meant no late sleeping. The furnishings are from the 70's. The fridge from the 60's froze all our food overnight or shut itself off. The kitchen implements (bowls, glasses etc) were dismal... More

We stayed at Kalmar village in a Deluxe 2 BR cottage. It was magical! I'd love to return each summer and already look forward to my next stay. Pros: Very serene location. Great beach front location and a true sense of community. Perfectly manicured grounds. Short walk to Ptown- which is nice. We were close enough yet away from the... More

Our third trip back to Kalmar Village. Everything you need in one place. Accommodations are clean. Right on the bayside beach. Daily housekeeping, friendly staff. Full kitchen. I love the real percolator. The public bus stops right in front of the village. No need to drive to Provincetown. You can see the Pilgrim Monument from the beach. If you are... More

We paid over $1k for three nights and all we got was an old cottage that faces the parking lot, with bugs/flies/mosquitos inside and right outside the door (we got bug bites all over our body from the stay), no A/C, window panes that shake with wind, broken fridge, and constant noise from people coming and going. I'm giving this... More
