This was our first trip to North Adams, and although it snowed a bit during this spring break trip, we enjoyed our two-night stay at The Porches. The location across from Mass MoCa is convenient, and our junior suite room was large enough for our family of four (2 small children) but did feel a bit cramped when the pull-out... More

Very nice property. It is a relatively large property, more on the Inn side then B&B. The facilities are nice, although it is right on the road with an almost commercial / industrial feel for the area. As an example, we were not comfortable leaving our bikes on the car. The rooms were beautiful, especially the King room which we... More

Pleasant stay in large comfortable king bed. Huge bathroom and living room. Close to a playground for kids this place is ideal for both families or couples. Its also only 500m to Main Street offering several restaurants and shopping. The place is quiet and has all the old world charm this area is known for and respected.

My boyfriend and I booked this bed-and-breakfast style hotel when planning a trip to MassMOCA. I don't think they do a good enough job letting potential guests know just how close it really is to the museum. It is literally right behind the museum, and you could easily walk from the property. The concept of the hotel is amazing, and... More

I had heard great reports about The Porches, so when we stayed there a few weeks ago I had high expectations. We were not disappointed at all. We had the great fortune to stay in an extended stay room, which was so cozy and fabulous that it was almost hard to leave to go out and about. I loved the... More

While working at Mass MoCA this week, I stayed at Porches which is located across the street. The room is spacious, the bed has great pillows and sheets, there is a separate seating area- more like a suite. the staff are very polite, and everything seems to have an upbeat vibe. It is good place to stay while visiting this... More

This comfy Inn was such a treat! We stayed here while visiting our son at Williams College and loved the eclectic art collections, the heavenly bed and the spacious, clean bathroom... also love the old exterior walls and windows renovated to make interesting interior space. So convenient to Mass MoCA across the street. We slept very well and will be... More

For me, staying at The Porches has the fun of being on vacation with the comfort of being at home. I love the suites with a comfy "put your feet up" living room with pocket doors to separate the bedroom area and a spacious bathroom. I like staying places that have a unique character and this is like no other... More

I have stayed at Porches twice for a convenient family getaway from Eastern MA; I'm surprised at myself for not having reviewed them previously. Most recently we stayed in a 2BR 2-level unit with an iron spiral staircase which was very cool for the 4 of us (2 parents, 2 teenagers) but would not work for small children. I really... More

I love this place! My first few visits were over 10 years ago and just returned last week for a trip to Mass MoCA and the Clark Art Institute with my husband. We had just driven from Brattleboro, spent hours at Mass MoCA and tromping through town. It was mid-March but still bitter cold. We got to the hotel to... More
