I have stayed at Porches twice for a convenient family getaway from Eastern MA; I'm surprised at myself for not having reviewed them previously. Most recently we stayed in a 2BR 2-level unit with an iron spiral staircase which was very cool for the 4 of us (2 parents, 2 teenagers) but would not work for small children. I really... More

I love this place! My first few visits were over 10 years ago and just returned last week for a trip to Mass MoCA and the Clark Art Institute with my husband. We had just driven from Brattleboro, spent hours at Mass MoCA and tromping through town. It was mid-March but still bitter cold. We got to the hotel to... More

The Porches Inn is a collection of six 1890's row houses, once the homes of factory workers, cleverly redesigned to accommodate fifty guest rooms and suites. It had the vibe of a cozy bed and breakfast with the conveniences of a bigger, modern hotel. Our room (Yellow25) was a delightful standard room with a very comfortable king-size bed. Down pillows,... We have stayed at the Porches three of four times a year for the last five years or so. It has always been excellent, but this time, some of the magic was gone. It has been a long and cold winter and the room seemed slightly dingy. Seams in the bead board paneling were starting to open in the bathroom... More

Oh my goodness! I happened upon the Porches Inn while looking for a get-away close to home for my daughter and me! We love The Porches Inn! We stayed in the red house, room #23. It was perfect! From the color on the bead-boarded walls to the spacious bathroom with a claw foot tub and rain shower! We purchased the... More

Overated! Woman at desk with accent extremely arrogant! I inquired about discount for senior veterans. My husband is a Vietnam Veteran who was shot and is handicapped. She LAUGHED at us!! saying....only Williams College get discounts! She was pushing a local restaurant. I said we already had reservations at Water Street Grill (where we have dined previously). She told me... More

Dear Guest, Thank you for your recent stay. It was very obvious that you would not be happy with anything at The Porches from the moment that you arrived to the moment that you departed.. We would never laugh at any of our guests, we are in hospitality business and we care about our guests. Our staff did everything to... More

I loved this hotel. It's comfortable, clean, funky and a stone's throw to Mass Moca. The decor is bohemian chic and the bathroom was my favorite part of our stay. The claw-footed tub and double headed shower was yummy. It was too cold to swim when we visited so the bathroom became our spa. Please note - we DID NOT... More

With a location minutes from Mass Moca and just down the road from the Clark and the Williams College art museum, Porches is perfect for the touring art lover. And if you have kids, the hotel's informality, buffet breakfast, hiking trail and--most of all--the pool and hot tub will keep them happy. The rooms are quirky and you can hear... More

My husband and I stayed here because we were in town visiting family for the holiday. The place was great, great amenities, very comfortable rooms and very wel decorated. We used the fitness center and the outdoor heated pool which added to our positive experience there. Our only complaint is that the accustics in the hallways is bad and when... More

My husband and I spent Thanksgiving night at Porches and only wish that we had stayed longer. Our room was large and comfy with wonderful vintage lamps and mirrors. The bathroom had a claw foot tub as well as a rain head shower and two warm robes. The view of snow-covered branches and icicles the next morning was New England... More
