Before we started the journey, we did not fully appreciate that this hotel does not actually lie in Boston itself but in Newton. When we took a taxi from the airport, there was some slight confusion as it had recently changed its name and nobody had told us. The room was just absolute bliss! Actually two big beds which was... We booked this hotel through Hotwire. I asked for a 3.5 star hotel in the Brookline/Newton area and this is the hotel I got. It isn't the best Crowne Plaza I have ever stayed at, but for $57 bucks, it was a steal. Staff is sooooo helpful on getting around. We took the train in from the airport to Copley... More

i booked this hotel with hotwire. i was kind of worried after reading some of the reviews here. but once i got there, i was relieved. staff was very nice. noise from the highway was definitely not an issue. had a room on the 9th floor. of course we heard some traffic noise but level was acceptable and not disturbing... Our stay was very nice overall. When we arrived, we were given a room that was not cleaned yet, so we were moved to another room, which was fine. the front desk employees never told us about a complimentary breakfast. We found out two days later only by chance. when we were directed to a hospitality room right on our... More

I travel to Boston frequently and recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Newton. The staff was very helpful and friendly. I descibe the team as courteous, considerate, and outgoing. They were very knowledgable of the area and helped me catch public transportation as needed. The club room is clean and very friendly. The exercise area has several nice machines... More

I stayed in this hotel (then a Sheraton) originally 25 years ago, and very little has changed since then. However, it has been a Crowne Plaza only since May ('09), and the staff excitedly told me about the deep renovations that it will undergo over the course of the next 18 months. God knows it needs them. That said, the... More

I stayed here one recent Monday night when visiting colleges in the Boston area with my son. Stayed here because it was the cheapest decent accommodation I could find near a transportation line serving our needs. Did not find the highway noise to be a problem when sleeping on the 10th floor. Each bed had seven pillows (typical Crowne Plaza).... More

Seriously. This was the worst hotel experience of my life. I've gotten more comfort and rest sleeping on a concrete sidewalk while waiting for Kiss tickets to go on sale than I did at this poor excuse for a hotel. The staff at the front desk could use some customer service training. Granted, every job comes with stress. But seriously,... More

I was in Boston recently for a Red Sox game with some friends from college. The front desk (thanks Andrea) gave us all the info to get from the hotel to Fenway. I've never stayed at a Crowne Plaza before but I'll definitely go there again. Charita? and Andrea at the front desk are outstanding. Whoever said people from Massachusetts... More

This hotel was a nightmare from the start! Poorly located and in desperate need of an upgrade - no hair dryer in the bathroom, but a phone jack! How '80's! The a/c clicks on and off all night, adding to the noise from the tpke, which is already atrocious, hence the earplugs, lavender linen spray and 'relaxation cd' in the... More
