I booked this quirky hotel through Hotwire and was aghast to read the negative reviews here and elsewhere. "What in heaven's name have I gotten myself into?" I thought -- actually, I can't print what I actually thought. I was traveling to Boston without a car, and was hoping to use the T when I was in town.... and when... more

We arrived at 5 p.m. at the hotel. When we went to our room, the cleaning ladies were busy doing another room next to ours, and our room is the next one to be done. But they switched us to another room in 11th level after I talked to people in reception, which was nice. Room was clean and sheet... more

Historically I have been very pleased with Sheratons and other Starwood properties. Because of that fact and also because my company paid around $210/night for this hote, my expectations were relatively high. The hotel itself is conveniently located right over the Mass Pike. I was on the 7th floor and was not disturbed by traffic at all over my three-night... more

How dangerous it is to build a hotel upon a bridge. What if some cars hit the pillars of the bridge and the entire bridge collapse as well as the hotel? more

I have stayed at the Sheraton Newton 4-5 times now. An organization that does training and technical assistance for government agencies puts us up there. This is an odd place built right over the Massachusetts Turnpike. Because of the location and the traffic below, I've always needed to use earplugs at night - especially when I've stayed on one of... more

Rooms smelled, bartender had a nasty attitude- actually went running after a guest yelling for her to "STOP!!"because HE couldn't read her room number on the tab- classless! Pool was disgusting, one could smell the chemicals as soon as the elevator opened. Will NOT return more

Stayed here on a visit to Boston, expecting it to be in the city centre (it was booked through a travel agent) and were disappointed when it was not. That said, the bus ride into Boston didn't take too long and we got to see some of the city and the suburbs that we otherwise would not (although there were... more

This hotel was built directly over the Mass Pike. It's loud. Do not expect otherwise. Location is great for easy access to BU, BC, downtown Boston and neighboring towns; Newton, Watertown etc. Our room was in need of a makeover. Kind of old and worn. It was hard to tell if it was dirty or just old. The elevator was... more

Rundown Sheraton--- paint, grout, housekeeping--- all substandard. I stayed here because I got a terrific price and it was the weekend of the Charles River regatta, BU parents' weekend, and many other events. Best thing about the hotel is that it's across the street from the 57 bus which takes you right down Commonwealth Ave. to Kenmore. Also there is... more

There was construction the first night. I was informed of this during check in. However the person at the desk flippantly stated that no one had complained about the noise, no one that is above the 6th floor. I was on the 9th floor and the jack hammering kept me up all night. The carpet in my room was dirty... more
