Had an okay room @ $147/night + tax, given view of parking lot. They charge an extra $11/day to allow you to park your car there, out in the parking lot (seriously). You'll pay $10/day for using the wifi (if you are not a Marriott rewards member, fortunately I am, but this made accessing the wifi a pain). Really, what... More

Average for price hotels are the hardest to review. I don't want to make this hotel out to be terrible, neither do I want it to appear fabulous. Good: Clean, Starbucks in Lobby, quiet, affordable compared to similar in downtown Boston. Bad: overpriced, poorly run restaurant. Room layout poor with towel rack in shower. Charging outlets at desk didn't work.... More

Although this hotel is a bit tired looking the rooms are in great condition, clean, comfortable beds and in my case, a great view of the river. The staff was attentive. I was at a conference so I can't comment much about the food. It was ok for conference food. Great location.

If you want to avoid the high cost of inner city Boston hotels, consider this property, which you can reach by commuter train four stops out of the Back Bay (25 min and $6.25 each way) to Auburndale stop on the Worcester line. 7 min walk to the hotel through a lovely neighborhood. Trains run every 1.5 hours most days.... More

We stayed at this hotel for the Boston Marathon. The hotel is older but they do a great job of keeping it as clean as possible. The lobby of this hotel is on the 4th floor and our room was on the 2nd floor. I read some reviews that stated there was a musty smell on the lower levels. We... More

You get a solid stay at this Marriott -- Clean Room - Good view of the water - - Excellent Service at the front desk. Room Service was solid and fast - the food was very good. It might be a older hotel -but very well maintained.

This type of hotel should be nicer than the new Residence Inn or Town Place etc, but it's not. If this hotel didn't have a Marriott sign you would think your in a older Comfort Inn. King rooms are very small. Beds are ok nothing Great but not bad. With so many options in the City if you don't need... More

As others have mentioned, this is an older property. I've stayed here on/off over the last 10 years for work and must say it's starting to show it's age. The management seems to try their best though. When comparing to a new Marriott, you'll be disappointed. As others have stated, it has a nice updated modern lobby, no issues there.... More

A fairly large Marriott. Lobby and bar are consistently busy day and night. During the day there seem to be many meetings in the area between the lobby and bar. Breakfast was very good. The concierge lounge on the 7th floor offers small amenities but require you to sign for beer - which was surprising. Large rooms, and an excellent... More

For all future readers. I left my previous review of 3 stars and "Moderate at best" title up so that travelers could see the issues we faced upon our initial visit. HOWEVER, this matter was further addressed through corporate relations and then management relations of the actual hotel itself. Their response was very prompt, polite, detailed and they were very...
