This type of hotel should be nicer than the new Residence Inn or Town Place etc, but it's not. If this hotel didn't have a Marriott sign you would think your in a older Comfort Inn. King rooms are very small. Beds are ok nothing Great but not bad. With so many options in the City if you don't need... More

As others have mentioned, this is an older property. I've stayed here on/off over the last 10 years for work and must say it's starting to show it's age. The management seems to try their best though. When comparing to a new Marriott, you'll be disappointed. As others have stated, it has a nice updated modern lobby, no issues there.... More

A fairly large Marriott. Lobby and bar are consistently busy day and night. During the day there seem to be many meetings in the area between the lobby and bar. Breakfast was very good. The concierge lounge on the 7th floor offers small amenities but require you to sign for beer - which was surprising. Large rooms, and an excellent... More

Staff very warm and welcoming. Lobby is on level 3. Room was on level 1 which is at ground level for back side of hotel. Room had sliding door with patio overlooking lake. Room was very small. Not even enough room between desk chair and bed for wife to walk behind me while in chair. Room was clean and bed... More

This is our go-to Boston hotel. We've also stayed at Hyatt Cambridge, Embassy Suites Waltham and Intercontinental Boston. Marriott Newton is conveniently located to visit family/friends in the area and rates are much more reasonable than other nearby hotels of the same caliber. We were upgraded to a river view. Rooms are small - you get what you pay for.... More

Stayed here for a business trip, and really enjoyed the place. It was one of the coldest weekends of the year, so we didn't leave the hotel much. It's honestly nothing special, but the people that work there make it outstanding. The room is the same as any Courtyard, and it was clean. We had access to the concierge lounge,... More

The Boston Marriott Newton is my go-to Boston hotel. I think I have stayed there 2 or 3 times. The rates are usually pretty reasonable for the greater Boston area. You will be further from the city, but if you are driving around the area this is actually a good thing. This location is on the main city arteries, and... More

I wanted to stay at the Cambridge Marriott, as it was across the street from the building I needed to visit. However, that hotel was $399 a night. Huh? Then I saw that many of the hotels in Mass are quite costly. So, I settled on the Marriott Newton. This is an older hotel that I would rate middle of... More
