The website for this place is very deceiving. There is fresh paint (nice color choices), new bed linens, renovated bath,& beautiful view of the water but that is where the good part ends. It wasn't until after I pre-paid & checked in that I noticed a hidden sign that said in order to keep the historic ambience of the Inn... More

Extremely disappointing! We understand that historic often means old and worn, but the carpet looked like it hadn't been replaced in 20-30 years. it was dirty and threadbare. This property changed hands in 2012. Reviews of previous establishment were great. However new management has some work to do. If you are looking for a bar with a nice view, this establishment is fine. If you are looking for overnight accommodations, you would do better to look elsewhere. Our door tag for new towels was ignored for more than... More

I recently stayed here while on business and would return tomorrow if I could for a relaxing vacation in this beautiful, quiet old village on a stunning harbor. The Inn combines modern amenities with Colonial charm and the pub gets 4 stars from me for the best crab cakes I've ever had and its attentive, friendly service. Only downside was... More
