Rarely does one find a bed and breakfast that welcomes children. Much to our delight, Ruth and Skip, proprietors of the Seagull Inn on beautiful Marblehead Neck, were not only welcoming to our two young children, but they (literally) opened their toy boxes and made our children feel as welcome as we were--which is to say, as welcome as old... We were greeted at the door by Ruth and Skip, the proprietors. They were very friendly and gracious. We stayed in the library suite and it was perfect for our needs. The room has a very nice (and large) bathroom attached to it. While not a very big suite, it was certainly very comfortable and had all the reading material... More

This has become a habit. Over Christmas, we spend 6 days at the Seagull Inn in the Library Room, wrapped in a cocoon of down comforters, emerging for a walk, or to visit with family and friends in the area, or to share an evening with Skip and Ruth, then curling up again with one of the hundreds of books... We cannot say enough about how awesome Ruth and Skip were during our stay. From the moment we walked through the front door, Ruth and Skip were very gracious and made us feel right at home. Ruth and Skip had a wealth of information and knowledge regarding Marblehead's history along with recommending sites to see around town and for day-trips... More

We came to the area for a wedding; but we decided to extend our weekend trip because it landed on our 1st anniversary. As everyone else has said, Ruth and Skip were both very welcoming and pleasant hosts. They made us feel very at home and helped us have a wonderful weekend. They even put some champagne in our room... More

My parents came over from UK and we went to Salem for a week trip. We stayed at the Seagull Inn just down the road from Salem and it was great. Clean, room was fine and Ruth and Skip looked after us amazingly. skip even didn't mind my 4 year old bugging him and they even hung out. Would highly... More

We were on a 10 day road trip to New England, we travelled from Ireland. We choose to stay in B&B's as we wanted to meet other American travellers and we weren't disappointed. On our arrival we met Ruth and Skipp who gave us a glass of wine and made us most welcome. In fact we were joined by friends... More

My wife and I just returned from a perfect 10th anniv. getaway in Marblehead at the Seagull Inn. At the risk of being repetitive as far as all the other reviews here go, Skip and Ruth are the perfect innkeepers, and make you feel at home the second you walk in the door. Taking care of you is their only... More

We just spent two nights at this delightful B&B on Marblehead Neck and could not have been more pleased with our room: The Library Room, and with our delightful and charming hosts, Skip and Ruth. Their wonderful place is relaxing, impeccable, and wonderfully situated. I am very hard to please and cannot fault the Seagull Inn in any way.....Lovely breakfasts... More

We stayed at the Seagull Inn for one night on the 22nd August with our two teenaged children. We were over from the UK touring New England before moving onto NY. We stayed in the Lighthouse Suite and the accommodation was spacious and perfect for us all. We were able to spread out over the veranda and the roof terrace... More
