We had made a reservation to stay here for 2 nights. We arrived at 1:30 on 1st day and no one was there. We called 4 times between 1:30 and 4:30 and no one answered the phone. Mary finally showed up at 4:45. Said she got "distracted" and forgot the time. Really? We walked in to look at the room... More

If you want the sterile-ness of a hotel or the ambience of a quaint country inn go there. This is a traditional B&B - you're staying in someone's home (which she probably can't afford without renting out the rooms). Our bedroom and bath were clean and neat and Mary offers a nice breakfast when you want it (though she may... More

Ambrose stated “When in Rome Do as the Romans Do.” Well let me say that vacationing in New England without Mary would have been a shear let down! We loved our time in Mary house and with you! ok, the house is lived in. But the rooms are clean and the stories and advice on where to go and things... More

We stayed 2 nights and the room was ok but the kitchen was filthy . The 2nd day Mary went to play golf and left food on the table for us to eat at breakfast. It was cold and we didn't want to eat at this place anyway. Sondra

I was traveling with my 2 kids and stayed here two nights. When I booked the room with Mary, I was told I would have a queen bed with an extra floor mattress for $95/night and this seemed reasonable. When I arrived, we found a single bed and she gave us two "mattresses" (more like body sized overly used pillows)... More

Mary is a HOOT...she is a down to earth, hard working wonderful person. She is very accommodating and helpful. I felt at home and relaxed in this wonderful home. If you take the time to get to know the hostess you will learn many things. I thank God he sent me there.

Filthy and weird are two words that capture our stay at this b&b. And watch out for your belongings; the owner is not to be trusted!! This is not like ANY bed and breakfast we ever stayed at ... we felt like we were a nuisance, far from the hospitality and charms of what B&Bs are known for. I wouldn't... More

I am staying in the area once a week for work reasons. The house is cluttered. The rooms are decent, but the rest of the house is not. It's outright messy, with every surface cluttered with things. The first week Mary charged me $10 for breakfast (double the listed rate) -- and then didn't serve it. I had told her... More

We spent 3 nights at Mary's and enjoyed it. It is not your typical B&B (and as a previous review mentioned) we did feel more like we were staying at a relative's home than a traditional B&B. Mary is a pleasant and hospitable host. She is talkative and she does have 2 elderly dogs but it didn't bother my husband,... More

Our stay was extremely enjoyable. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and attractive. Mary Van, the proprietor, was the epitome of transplanted southern hospitality and a wonderful conversationalist. Her breakfast, catered to our special needs, was just perfect. Recommend it highly.
