This hotel was a pleasure to visit. The staff was so small that you ran into people several times and they really made it personal for us. I remember the days when you received your key and then that was it. Cold food at breakfast and a granola bar for a snack. Not so with this place, they are top... More

THEY HAVE CLOSED UP SHOP....FYI, I called today (10/9/13) to try to book a stay at the Fireside and Maureen stated that she has retired and no longer offers the home for bed and breakfast excursions. A shame, it looked, and sounded like a nice place to stay :(

At the end of a fortnight touring New England we wanted to spend a few days exploring Boston/its surrounds but didn't want to stay in the city itself. After some research we chose Fireside and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of the holiday. Maureen and Bob are extremely considerate and generous hosts and we had... More

We stayed here over Memorial Day weekend 2012, and along with my parents, had the whole place to ourselves. It's located in a quiet neighborhood and the hostess was friendly and very accommodating. We arrived late Saturday night and after 9pm the other nights and this was never a problem. The breakfasts were also amazing: lots of food that was... More

My stay at the Fireside was a very pleasant one. The room was quiet and clean, and quite functional.

The Fireside Bed and Breakfast of Lexington is wonderful! The house is beautiful with delightful decor and great amenities (including for example a large porch, sitting rooms, and a large garden with swimming pool), and such a warm and friendly atmosphere. When we arrived, Maureen welcomed us in and the aroma of freshly baked chocolate chip banana bread greeted our... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Fireside so much in the fall of 2009 that we just had to do it all over again last October! First, the Fireside is central to all the sights one could possibly want to see in Boston and the surrounding area. With easy on and off freeway access just around the corner from the... More

Staying at the Fireside Bed & Breakfast of Lexington was probably the best decision we made for our trip to Massachusetts. Maureen and Bob are gracious hosts! Their home is immaculate, and the food is great. We felt at home the minute we walked in the door and had a hard time saying goodbye after three nights. The central location... More

As a European traveler I am used to bed and breakfasts. With this said, I was impressed with this Bed and Breakfast. It is very nice with superb service. I would like to point out the hot breakfast served every morning: quantity and quality. I would give them ten starts if I could. Maureen, the owner, always makes me feel... More
