We traveled on Thursday, September 26th with great expectations to our favorite hotel, Wheatleigh in Lenox Massachusetts to relax for a few days vacation over the Labor Day weekend. We had enjoyed a wonderful two days replete with a visit to the Clark Museum and highlighted by sumptuous brunches (their egg white soufflé may be worth trip in itself!) and... More

Marc Wilhelm, General Manager, and his team deliver impeccable service in an exquisite setting. Chef Jeffrey Thompson is a creative genius and a master in the culinary arts. The dining experience, from service to the delicious and innovative cuisine, is a cherished memory. We feel fortunate to have visited Wheatleigh and would highly recommend a visit.

We loved this place. We really loved this place. We have taken cruises, travelled to Europe 40 plus times, but nothing beats this place for relaxation, refinement, elegance, and service. With less than 20 rooms you felt like you have this villa to yourself. The individual level of service was excellent. It provides the quality of high-end European service but... More

We have been enjoying the Wheatleigh for a number of years now. Our 3-night stay is always a highlight of the summer. The property is both intimate & palatial at the same time. The staff (especially Jason) is so attentive to every detail. They know that we like warm cookies and milk as we head off to bed & they... More

Great place to escape from NYC, even when nothing is going on at Tanglewood. We stayed off season, and had a great stay. Very personal attention, feels more like staying at someone's house... well more like palace... with lots of staff to take care of you. A bit expensive, so not really a "value" place, but it's special.

We knew coming in that this was going to be a costly one-night escape to the Berkshires. However, we were very excited to see the Wheatleigh and enjoy the comforts provided its guests. When we checked in we were not disappointed. The hotels is gorgeous and the grounds were immaculate. There was no one to meet us in the lobby... More

We stayed at this hotel recently because we were having our wedding in the area. We were welcomed with a friendly greeting. We stayed at one of the suites. Although it was quite nicely decorated it was not what we were expecting from a 2000 USD/night suite. Although the living area was spacious, the bedroom was tiny. There was very... More

Wheatleigh may be the priciest place to visit for an overnight stay or maybe just for dinner - but you absolutely experience the best there is - the decor is superb, the setting is gorgeous, with mountain views and the gardens designed by Olmstead. The staff is welcoming and sees to your every need without being obsequious or underfoot. The... More

Wheatleigh is a gem. On a par with many of the nicer properties visited anywhere in the world. The setting, the food, the staff, and the rooms are all exceptional. It didn't hurt that we were here for a midweek getaway. It wasn't crowded and I imagine that everyone was a bit more attentive than they could be at mid... More

My husband and I were looking for a 5 star weekend getaway from NYC that didn't require a plane ride. Having relied on trip advisor and other reviews for suggestions, we were pleasantly surprised with our stay at Wheatleigh. Here are the pros and cons in a nutshell for those of you on the fence. PROS: Lovely setting and location... More
