We spent 3 wonderful days at Wheatleigh during the winter. The quality of service from every member of the staff from our arrival to our departure was impeccable - genuinely warm, friendly but not stuffy. We were given welcome champagne and upgraded to a junior suite upon arrival. Staff welcomed us like old guests, already knowing our names and recalling... More

We stayed just one night en route elsewhere and found Wheatleigh to be a lovely and accommodating stopover. Staff was VERY hospitable, making every effort to go over and above in delivering a first-rate hotel experience and a high level of service. Room service dinner was excellent -- food exceptionally good for room service, and breakfast was very good as... More

I had booked two nights at this five-star hotel in April 2014 as a quiet getaway. The historic mansion was beautiful, but the service and food were absolutely not worth the extraordinarily high rates charged. I was discouraged by the management from dining in the high-end restaurant, perhaps because I inquired about vegetarian options. The meal in the more casual... More

What a beautiful place. From the moment we arrived and were greeted at the front door, we immediately felt a peace settle in and knew we were in for what proved to be a most amazing dining experience. The service is impeccable, the surroundings are a sight to behold and the culinary experience far exceeded our wildest dreams. Many thanks... More

Recently my sister and I booked a last minute trip to Wheatleigh. The proximity of the property to Tanglewood and a delicious Wednesday night barbecue menu helped us make the decision to stay there, and once we arrived we realized what a fortuitous choice it was. The hotel is beautiful. Originally a 19th century summer cottage ( based on an... More

Just returned from a weekend at Wheatleigh...or was that somewhere in Europe at someone's private villa? I had read the reviews prior to visiting and had them in my head the entire time "run, don't walk" to this place and "no value for the money, they gave us flashlights and made us walk". Well here is my review. It truly... More

We had an unforgettable romantic night there, on the way to lake placid. Personally I would definitely not go when they charge 1000$ per night sometimes (and more). But if you manage to find a good rate, or if you are married to an oil field, this place is so beautifully designed and offers the most luxurious suits I'v seen... More

The Wheatleigh is a work of art in the cultural paradise that is Lenox, Massachusetts. The hotel is in the Berkshires, a stone's throw from Tanglewood, yet secluded in its own Wheatleigh Park. The hotel dates back to the end of the 19th century and was built as a copy of a 16th century Florentine palazzo. The buildings are lavish... More

This was our third visit to Wheatleigh. There will be many more. When you are stressed and need a break, this is the place for you. What you focus on here is yourself. The elegant hotel - or better put Italian palace - is nestled in a beautiful wooded area of the Berkshire's. From the property you see only grass... More
