We had an unforgettable romantic night there, on the way to lake placid. Personally I would definitely not go when they charge 1000$ per night sometimes (and more). But if you manage to find a good rate, or if you are married to an oil field, this place is so beautifully designed and offers the most luxurious suits I'v seen... More

The Wheatleigh is a work of art in the cultural paradise that is Lenox, Massachusetts. The hotel is in the Berkshires, a stone's throw from Tanglewood, yet secluded in its own Wheatleigh Park. The hotel dates back to the end of the 19th century and was built as a copy of a 16th century Florentine palazzo. The buildings are lavish... More

This was our third visit to Wheatleigh. There will be many more. When you are stressed and need a break, this is the place for you. What you focus on here is yourself. The elegant hotel - or better put Italian palace - is nestled in a beautiful wooded area of the Berkshire's. From the property you see only grass... More

My husband and I went for dinner without reservations. We were seated with no problem. There are two menus, we decided on the tasting menu in the main dining room. Service and food were impeccable. The grounds were lovely. It is definitely a place for a special occasion, tucked away in the woods. Very romantic!

My husband and I travel extensively for his hobby and we have stayed at Wheatleigh many times during the past four years. It is our favorite romantic getaway on either coast here in The States - and on the three occasions when we've brought the 'tween and one of her friends, the staff were beyond superbly accommodating (Three rounds of... I travel extensively and stay at many world class hotels, the quality of the customer service at the Wheatleigh exceeds them all. Admittedly, the hotel and restaurant are a tad on the expensive side, but this is one instance in which you get what you pay for. My wife and I just finished a 3 day/2 night stay and the... More

I am just returning from a family girls trip in the Berkshires. We stayed 3 nights in 2 junior suites at the Wheatleigh ($1,500 plus taxes each room, although room 2 C was half the size of room 2 G, they cost the same) I booked it because of the wonderful reviews I read here. We have stayed at other... More

It is hard to write a review for a hotel that has been a personal favorite for a while. I live in the New England area and have toured all properties around; Wheatleigh tops the list. Excellent place to relax and detox. The only downside to it is that it has no spa. Everything else is five star without a... More

We've just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at the Wheatleigh. Having been lucky enough to have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world, we can categorically say it is undoubtedly one of the best due to the unique combination of its beautiful setting, its private country house atmosphere, it's elegant rooms and public spaces, but... We dined for thanksgiving. From the moment we came to the front door to the moment we left the service was impeccable. There was a prix fixe menu for this holiday. 2 chose the turkey dinner and one the filet mignon. There were actually 5 courses 2 being chef compliments. The first was dungeoness crab roll serviced with a lovely... More
