It is hard to write a review for a hotel that has been a personal favorite for a while. I live in the New England area and have toured all properties around; Wheatleigh tops the list. Excellent place to relax and detox. The only downside to it is that it has no spa. Everything else is five star without a... More

We've just returned from a fabulous 3 night stay at the Wheatleigh. Having been lucky enough to have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world, we can categorically say it is undoubtedly one of the best due to the unique combination of its beautiful setting, its private country house atmosphere, it's elegant rooms and public spaces, but... We dined for thanksgiving. From the moment we came to the front door to the moment we left the service was impeccable. There was a prix fixe menu for this holiday. 2 chose the turkey dinner and one the filet mignon. There were actually 5 courses 2 being chef compliments. The first was dungeoness crab roll serviced with a lovely... More

the Wheatleigh is a special experience. I came here with my mom to relax for the weekend and explore the Berkshires. The service is nothing short of perfection - 100% attentiveness yet mindful and unobtrusive. I loved the quiet, privacy, peace, and tasteful elegance of the entire place. The food was extraordinary, down to the chocolate chip cookies in the... More

We had a fantastic night at the Wheatleigh. Our room was great, the food was superb, the service was fantastic…I give it a 10 out of 10. My only hesitation in giving it such a strong recommendation is it was just soooo expensive. I'm fairly used to spending top dollar on great places but this was a bit ridiculous. We... More

I had a brief stay this week in the unique Wheatleigh. Unlike Europe, New England has a small number of grand old estates converted into hotels. The Wheatleigh has a soul and sense of history. The views, common areas and grounds invite the imagination to run - to wonder how the place felt during its original ownership. It is a... More

We spent a long weekend at the Wheatleigh to celebrate a birthday. We were greeted out front by the very professional and friendly staff, two glasses of wine in hand, who ushered us in and out back to the beautiful patio overlooking the sweeping hill to relax and "start the weekend"! We were blown away by the beauty of the... More

We traveled on Thursday, September 26th with great expectations to our favorite hotel, Wheatleigh in Lenox Massachusetts to relax for a few days vacation over the Labor Day weekend. We had enjoyed a wonderful two days replete with a visit to the Clark Museum and highlighted by sumptuous brunches (their egg white soufflé may be worth trip in itself!) and... More

Marc Wilhelm, General Manager, and his team deliver impeccable service in an exquisite setting. Chef Jeffrey Thompson is a creative genius and a master in the culinary arts. The dining experience, from service to the delicious and innovative cuisine, is a cherished memory. We feel fortunate to have visited Wheatleigh and would highly recommend a visit.

We loved this place. We really loved this place. We have taken cruises, travelled to Europe 40 plus times, but nothing beats this place for relaxation, refinement, elegance, and service. With less than 20 rooms you felt like you have this villa to yourself. The individual level of service was excellent. It provides the quality of high-end European service but... More
