Recently I was at Cranwell for the 4th of July. The staff was always friendly and the accommodations were spacious and comfortable. We had the breakfast buffet one day and the food was above expectations. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun weekend in the Berkshires.

I wanted a resort in the Berkshires for a special birthday weekend for my husband. As others have mentioned, what we got was a room in one of the "townhouses" desperately in need of maintenance (neither lamp in the bedroom had a working bulb, the closet door was broken, the towel bar was broken, bath towel was seriously soiled, there... Heavenly deep tissue massage by Deb. I loved swimming laps in the pool. Our room, in the Registration building, Olmstead Manor, was ample if unexciting pretty conveniently located. Food was overpriced and nothing much was included in the hefty per night fee.

Staff was very nice. We stayed in one of the cottages. For the price, $495 a night, it was in need of a few repairs. Ceiling in bathroom had been patched several times but not painted. Paint peeling on molding. Mini kitchen needed an update. Everything felt dated. Spa and fitness center was great. Golf course was well maintained. Seems... More

Driving down Route 100 in Vermont it was a chilly and rainy 48 degrees on June 28. After lunch at Dot's in Wilmington we set our TomTom for The Cranwell. Although we have visited the Berkshires many times and will be going to The James Taylor show at Tanglewood in a few days, we have never visited The Cranwell. We... More

We only stayed at the Cranwell one night. We were told on arrival that we had a really nice room. Instead, we found the room to be on the second floor of an older separate two-story building without an elevator. The room was too small for the king bed and all the furniture was old and mismatched. That afternoon we... More

We went to Tanglewood to see Diana Krall and decided to treat ourselves to an overnight stay at a nice place. We picked the perfect spot. Sandy at the Front Desk was wonderful and welcomed us warmly even though we had no reservation. She made a dinner reservation and gave us a beautiful room in the Carriage House. Dinner was... More

We just spent two nights at Cranwell and had a lovely time. We were upgraded to a suite at check in and it was a large comfortable well appointed room although it could use some updating. We both enjoyed using the spa which is very nice although the one spa treatment that I had was less than mediocre. We relaxed... More

We are so pleased that you enjoyed your recent stay and had the chance to golf and relax at the spa. Your spa treatment experience is not in keeping with the level of service we strive to deliver. Would you kindly share the specifics via a direct message so that we can investigate? Looking forward to your return. More

I was in the area with car issues so had not booked a room. I remembered that the hotel was in the area from visiting their spa years back. the woman at the night desk could not have been any kinder or helpful. It was late, but made it just in time for the restaurant where I had dinner, which... More

Beautiful getaway. Food, golf, service was first class. Nothing to complain about. Unwind and chill. Spa offers everything. Lenox is a sweet low keyed and very manicured area. Nice change. Short drive to town.
