Yes, the place could use some TLC and fixing up, outside and in, but it is an old historic house in a great location, and it seemed clean enough inside (although I have never seen more nick knacks). It is quirky and charming, and the exact opposite of minimalist. It seemed fitting given the small new england town feel. Yes,... More

As others have mentioned, our room, Verdi, did smell very strongly of cat urine overlaid with a certain cloying rug cleaner with which I am familiar. I imagine the room is quite pleasant in summer with the windows open. But for the offseason price of $140 I would never, ever, ever stay in that room again. Nor would I recommend... More

The Walker House is very well located in Lenox. We had a wonderful spacious room with a fireplace and a large bathroom. We had our own porch right outside of our room. Our host and hostess, Dick and Peg were friendly and very nice. There were a lot of cats around and I am allergic but did not have any... More

If you are enamored of eau de cat pervading your environment, than this is the place for you. If you feel that you deserve primitive bathroom conditions, than you will love Walker House. In our bathroom the only place to put toiletries or toothbrushes was a rotting stool placed under the sink. The light fixture was a bare bulb! Finally,... More

The Walker House is in a great location--a short walk to downtown Lenox, a longer walk to Shakespeare & Co. & a very long walk or short drive to Tanglewood. Its atmosphere is, overall, friendly, & it's obvious the house has great potential. They offer their guests free & unlimited Internet access via their laptop & there's a big, fancy... More

My husband and I just returned from another wonderful vacation at the Walker House Inn in Lenox, MA. We love the Walker House so much that we wanted to share our experience with everyone. We have been going there for several years now and we have never been disappointed. The rooms are always very clean - made up freshly every... More

We stayed there in October of 2003 and were saddened to see a house with so much potential fall into such disrepair. Although it is slightly cheaper than other B&B's in the area, we quickly found out that this was no "great deal". The view from the road made us leary as the landscape was entirely overgrown. The inside of... More

My wife and I stayed at the Walker House in October of 2003. We have stayed in six other B&B's over the past four years. The Walker House ranks at the very bottom in my opinion. The house is in a general state of disrepair (understandable to a degree considering the main part of the home was built in 1804).... More
