This is a gem of a place to stay. Yes, it is old, yes it could stand to be renovated, but it is so quaint to do the previously mentioned would make this place like every other inn or hotel. Rooms are clean, staff is great, food is delicious. Bed could be more comfortable, but again, why complain. We love... More

There are two reasons we keep returning to the Village Inn: (1) it is reasonably priced compared to other nearby offerings (and doesn't have a 3-night minimum stay in summer weekends) and (2) it is so conveniently located, in walking distance of all the shops and restaurants in "downtown" Lenox, and only a few minute's drive from Shakespeare & Co.... This property is old and tired but perfectly located and very clean. Walk everywhere! Someday soon someone will buy it and completely renovate it. Breakfast pleasant and wait staff super nice. Beds older and not very comfortable.

Spent two nights at The Village Inn during a Lenox stopover, and found it to be comfortable. This is an older building which appears to have been repurposed as a B and B. Such likely accounts for some odd angles, dimly-lit hallways and strangely located doors. By no means upscale, the Inn nonetheless provided a comfortable bed, pleasant buffet breakfast... More

Excellent Small Inn with bedrooms with bathrooms well designed. very clean and with a huge breakfast, unlimited coffee, eggs, french toast, muffins, fresh fruit, potatoes, hash, bagels, etc. Food served on an enclosed porch. Lovely outdoor tables and chairs. On the best street (stores, restaurants, etc) in Lenox. Close to Tanglewood, drive to the Clark Museum, lots of theatre and... More

I have stayed in it several times over the years but on this trip I can clearly see it has gone downhill. Staff are few and sometimes no one present, even in the afternoon, and especially not at night; little evidence of maintenance; badly needs updating: quaint has descended into tired and faded. The current owners are seemingly not willing... More

Reading the other reviews, I have to question their validity, because they CANNOT be for the same place we just returned from. Each year we visit Lenox to attend the James Taylor concert at Tanglewood. This has been by far the worst experience to date, we would stay in our car before staying at this "Inn" again. We walked in... More

I like it here. It is comfortable, cozy and the staff are so nice and helpful, if not overworked. It seems like the same people running around trying to do it all. We stayed here before and liked it then and now, but it's definitely getting rundown. It is clean enough, but it needs paint, ceiling repairs, new air conditioners,... More

If you are visiting the Berkshires, the Village Inn is a B/B with historical charm and appeal for families and couples. The service is personable and efficient. Each room is a unique piece of history. Last year I stayed at the Village Inn with my wife, and was pleasantly surprised at the decor of the Village Inn. The impressive art... More

My daughter and I recently spent an enjoyable weekend at the Village Inn. Breakfast was served promptly at 8, the food was delicious, and the staff were very pleasant and attentive. There are charming little boutiques, shops and restaurants within walking distance of the inn. Saturday night is karaoke night at the tavern, with a superb bartender and a great... More
