This warm and comfortable bed and breakfast is beautifully kept, has delicious breakfasts, cordial host and staff. The inn is right in the heart of town for easy walking to the many small shops and restaurants that make Lenox a desirable destination. Tanglewood (summer home of the Boston symphony) and Jacob's Pillow, home to dance lovers for decades, are nearby,... More

We stayed at the inn for a one night getaway on a Monday. The inn is within walking distance to the center of Lenox, has a lot of character and was very clean. Amy, the innkeeper, was very helpful when we asked for recommendations for restaurants and directions. I booked a room on the third floor, which was very comfortable,... More

We stayed at the Rookwood Inn in June. The B&B was nice and we especially enjoyed the lovely common areas to sit and relax. The bed and bathroom were clean and.comfortable, altho the wallpaper and carpets are very dated. The Innkeepers were friendly, however breakfast was a big disappointment - there was nothing special about it and nothing with the... More

We have been coming to the Berkshires for the past few years and stayed in various B and B's. Some have old-world charm and some have pleasant staff. It's rare to find one with both. From the initial booking to the final good byes the staff could not be more caring. Enjoyed the interaction with other guests from different states... More

We stayed there for a weekend for a Tanglewood concert. The Inn was OK (you get what you pay for), was mostly occupied by older people (65-85 if I had to guess), but the staff/service was not friendly nor accommodating. I would not stay there again.

My husband and I have had the pleasure of staying at the Rookwood Inn many times in the past several years. This year we decided to take my elderly Mom with us. I contacted Amy prior to reserving to discuss the ins and outs of bringing my Mom. Amy assured us that every effort would be made to make my... More

We've stayed in over a dozen rooms at the Rookwood Inn over a 20-year period and the Inn just keeps getting better. Always filled with handsome period antiques and comfortable beds, and run by a charming and gracious Innkeeper, the towels seemed bigger and fluffier, the breakfast even more varied and delicious, and the staff even more courteous and attentive... This Inn is highly overated not a 4-star Inn but rather a 1 star. In it's hayday it might have been nice but it appears there's been no upkeep at all. Upon arrival the porch was run down as the wicker furniture and cushions. We noticed cans of bug spray on the portch table, which was probably due to the... More

On Friday February 14, 2014 I had the fortunate opportunity to stay at The Rookwood Inn for a night to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my sweetheart. As we pulled into the parking lot, the inn’s Victorian elegance came into full view. The freshly fallen snow that draped the inn, subtlety added a beautiful and special ambiance. Upon entering the inn,... More

My husband and I "ran away" from everyday stressors to celebrate an early valentine's day and early 29th wedding anniversary. It was a great place to relax. Near great restaurants and other things to do. The Inn is great, the staff is friendly , it is very clean and decorated with antiques. Breakfast is great ! I would definitely go... More
