We have visited the Berkshires for about 30 years, and are always looking for an affordable, relatively upscale, comfortable place to stay -- in the heart of Lenox Village! Not an easy set of demands! Finally, we found it: Hampton Terrace, on Walker Street, just steps away from the town center. We stayed in a king suite -- the best... more

Nice room, heated pool, and 4 fantastic newly renovated tennis courts within a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was nice, too! Loved the proximity to the center of Old Lenox, Tanglewood and Shakespeare and Co. Nice jogging routes, too! Would definitely stay again! more

"It's just a pleasure to stay at stan's and susan's wonderful bed-and-breakfast, with its luxurious quarters -- at reasonable rates -- set right around the corner from the Lenox town center and only minutes from Tanglewood. You get a super, plentiful home-made breakfast - with grits on Sunday - suiperior king-size or smaller beds in the main house as well... more

My wife and I had a terrific stay at Hampton Terrace last week. It was the perfect comination for us. The main inn is historic, lovely and warm. The daily breakfast there was outstanding, and we shared great conversations each day with the other guests. For our room, we chose a king suite. This was a thoroughly modern room in... more

When I left Manhattan I was stressed to the max, and could barely get myself organized to go. I drove through inclement weather to get to Lenox. What I found when I arrived at Hampton Terrace, was one of the owners, who was patiently awaiting my arrival. He was friendly, informative and accommodating. The rooms are just as pictured on... more

We spent one night at the Inn just to celebrate my husband's 50th birthday mid-week. The room was upgraded for free. Stan recommended where I could purchase a gift basket and then kindly picked it up for me and had it in the room before our arrival. The room was very comfortable. Our experience was one of quiet, peace, and... more

We arrived at the Inn and immediately noticed the beautiful flowers and amazing pool. We walked into the front entrance and were warmly greeted by Stan, his wife Susan, and their sweet dog, Atticus. Stan gave us the quick tour and showed us to our room. I was pleased with the decor, less 'country-Inn' than most places we have stayed,... more

Thank you so much to Stan for hosting the cast of "Sense and Sensibility." Your hospitality was out of this world. The actors felt as though they were treated like royalty, and they all remarked on how beautiful the inn was and how well they were treated. They loved it so much that they didn't want to leave!! Thank you... more

Overall, I enjoyed my stay at the Hampton Inn. The room was nice, the host helpful. At breakfast there were a number of choices, however the bread was average prepackaged from the grocery store and was a bit hard after being out uncovered all morning. Toaster very very slow. My primary negative comment is that I went to the Hampton... more

This is a positive review, and this person said she would return, but I want to make it clear that our policy for accepting children is 10+. If she heard a crying baby, it would have been our 2 1/2-year- old grandchild visiting. She generally only cries when being coerced into eating peas, but until this review, I was unaware...

May 25, 2009 | Trip type: Family

Our recent stay at the Hampton Terrace was terrific. Stan, Susan and daughter Victoria's attention to detail was appreciated by everyone in our family. They made every effort to ensure we had everything we needed during our visit and, above all else, that we were totally satisfied with our accomodations. My family and I will always remember the Rosen family,... more
