There's nothing really wrong with this motel. It's seen better days and is a bit tatty, but our room was clean, fairly large, and had a fridge, coffee maker, TV and working (if noisy) heater, which just about managed to counteract the floor-to-ceiling single glazed windows. The breakfast was also good, as American motel breakfasts go. The hotel seemed mostly... More

I have simple guidelines for judging an experience -- did it meet my needs? In hotels, I need a microwave and refrigerator. Magnuson Hotel in Lenox has them. I need early wake-up calls. I received them. I like a friendly, helpful staff -- Travis and his wife Shauna were very friendly, and Travis gave me great suggestions to spend my... More

Hotels in the Berkshires are generally pricey, which is somewhat expected given the area attractions. Yet, if you are looking for an inexpensive place between Pittsfield and Lenox, well this may be your place. The room is basic, nothing fancy but clean. There is Wifi but only in the hotel lobby. The hotel offers a small breakfast, nothing to brag... More

We had low expectations for this hotel given it was priced at the lower end of the scale but didn't expect the unwelcome extras we encountered. The check in was easy and the location was good for what we wanted but the place is very run down and in desperate need of attention....and fumigation! Breakfast was basic as expected but... More

Rooms were dirty (smears of dirt on the walls), mold on the ceilings and unsafe with electrical junction boxes left open. Our son with seasonal allergies ended up getting sick and we had to leave the next day instead of touring the area. Check in took almost an hour. Person in line ahead of us was canceling their reservation after... More

The Motel is very quiet so sleep was good. That's about all good we have about this place. The room was very dirty, mold on the ceiling and on the walls. You could directly smell the mold when entering the room. Drain was clogged etc. Breakfast also not too good. They changed the name from Econo Lodge to Magnusson. I... More

My sister and I got this 2.5 star hotel on Hotwire. Reading the terrible reviews was a little unnerving, but we were locked in so decided to make it an adventure! This is NOT a three or four star hotel, that much is clear, but the price was TOTALLY legitimate for the location (10 min from Tanglewood) and time (summer... More

After checking in we headed over to our designated room and were shocked by the appalling conditions. At first glance I noticed portions of the carpet were torn up, there was no bed skirt located on the box spring, and there was a strong odor of mold permeating the room. After a closer inspection we located at least three points... More

This is probably the worst place I have ever stayed. The room was shabby, which I can overlook, but it smelled of must and mold. There was no alarm clock and we couldn't get a wake up call because the phone didn't work. The toilet leaked out on to the bathroom floor. We were given used soap. I could go... More

If you just need a place to sleep for the night, the price was right. The facility needs updating, repairs, replacing ect. The staff tries to please but the place needs help. Our bed was firm, the mattress was clean, the bedding as vanilla. The bathroom was clean and well maintained. The grouting to the tile was bright and clean,... More
